On Placement

the unit to dry before use.
Ventilation Warning
• Donotblock theventilationopeningsorholes. If theventilationopeningsorholes areblockedbya
newspaper or cloth, etc., the heat may not be able to get out.
• Do notoperatethe unit in a confined space, suchas a bookcaseor built-incabinet.Allow about 4
inches(10cm)offreespaceallaroundtheunitforadequateventilation.

A. Using the AC Power Adapter
Caution:
• TheACpoweradapterincludedwiththisunitisforitsuseonly.Donotuseitwithotherequipment.
• Whentheunitisnotgoingtobeusedforlongtime,disconnecttheACpoweradapterfromthewall
outlet.
• When theACpower adapter ispluggedin, theapparatus is notcompletely disconnected from the
main power supply, even when the power is turned o.
Warning:
The AC/DC adaptor isused as disconnectdevice.TheAC/DCadaptorofapparatusshouldnot be
obstructed OR should be easily accessed during intended used. To be completely disconnect the power
input,theAC/DCadaptorofapparatusshallbedisconnectedfromthemains.
Power Supply
The supplied AC power adapter

Caution:

C. Using the Built-in Battery
The unit has a built-in, non-replaceable, rechargeable battery. Charge the built-in battery before using it
forthersttime. Complete chargingtypicallytakesapproximately4-5hours.The charging light willgo
out when the built-in battery becomes fully charged.
Warning:
• Thebuilt-in battery canonly berechargedwhen theunit isin CHARGE mode whileusingthe AC
power adapter.
• Thebuilt-inbatterycannotberechargedwhentheunitisinONmode.

C. Connecting a USB Flash Drive
You canconnect aUSB ashdrive(notincluded) totheUSB portonthe unitto playDivX® moviesas
well as music and picture les.
• PlugtheUSBashdrivetotheUSBportontheunit.
• Pressing STOP button while player is not playing content will cause the player to switch between
DVD, USB, and SD Card modes. Repeatedly press STOP to select the mode you desire.

OR PICTURE FILES”.

D. Using a SD Card Slot
You can connect a Secure Digital (SD) card (not included) to the SD card slot on the unit to play DivX
movies as well as sound & picture les.
• PlugtheSDcardfullyintothememoryexpansioncardslotontheunituntilitclicks.
• Pressing STOP button while player is not playing content will cause the player to switch between
DVD, USB, and SD Card modes. Repeatedly press STOP to select the mode you desire.
Warning:
• ItisrecommendedtheSDcardispluggedwhentheunitisinSTANDBYmode.
• Ifthe SDcard is orientedincorrectly,itwill notgofullyintotheslot.Donotapply force when
inserting the SD card.
• ToremovetheSDcard,pushtheSDcardintothe slot and then slowly remove your nger, the lock
is released and the SD card is pushed out.
• MakesuretousecorrectAudio/Videocable,wrongplugconnectionmaycauseweaksignal.
• IfyouhaveastereoVCR,makesureyousetitinstereomode.
• Duetocopyrightprotection,DVDmoviescannotbecopied.IfyoucopyaDVDmovieontoa
videotape, the resulting copy will be unclear, with poor sound quality. This is NOT caused by a
defective DVD system.

A.1ConnectingaTVusingHDMIoutput(bestoption)
HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) supports both video and audio on a single digital
connectionforusewithDVDplayers,set-topboxesandotherdigitalAVdevices.
For TVs that support it, HDMI can provide the best quality audio and video output (depending on media
source), and so is the preferred connection type. A HDMI cable (not included) incorporates both audio
and video signals, so you will have just one cable running from the unit to your TV. Using an HDMI
cable(notincluded),connecttheHDMIOUTjackonyourunittotheHDMIINjackonyourTVorHDMI-
compatible display.

• DVDsaredivided into“titles” and “chapters”. If the disc
has more than one movie on it, each movie would be a
separate “title”. “Chapters” are sections of titles.
• Audio CDsaredividedinto “tracks”. A “track” is usually
one song on an Audio CD.
