The Razer Naga Epic provides a twelve button [1-12] Thumb Grid in two configurations:
Basic [123] and Advanced [Num].
For best results, please charge the battery fully the first time you use the Razer Naga Epic. A
depleted battery will be fully charged in about 5
hours. If the mouse has not been used for an
extended period, the battery might need to be recharged before usage.
The Razer Naga Epic requires a USB connection that is able to supply sufficient power during
battery charging process. The battery charging process of the Razer Naga Epic may be affected if
connected to a non-powered USB hub or non-powered USB ports found on certain keyboards and
other peripherals
When in doubt, it is preferable to connect the Razer Naga Epic directly to the USB port found on the
CPU unit of your computer system.
SETTING SENSITIVITY STAGES
A sensitivity stage is a preset sensitivity value you can swap to on-the-fly. This means you can
change to your preferred sensitivity instantly by toggling between sensitivity stages.
To preset a sensitivity stage:
1 Load the Razer Configurator.
2. Click on the Tweak Performance tab.
3. Click on the SENSITIVITY STAGE button. A Sensitivity Stage Settings pop up box will appear.
4. Select the number of sensitivity stages needed.
5. Click on the stage you would like to preset and adjust using the arrow on the slider below.
6. Click APPLY when done. To switch between different sensitivity stages, simply assign the
Sensitivity Stage Up and Sensitivity Stage Down functions to the desired buttons.
1. Basic [123] Configuration
In Basic [123] configuration, the twelve buttons [1-12] are assigned to 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0,-,=
of the keyboard respectively. This allows you to replicate the default action bar for most MMO
games onto the Thumb Grid. With this function, you have better control of your character’s
movement in game.
2. Advanced [NUM] Configuration
In the Advanced [Num] mode, the twelve buttons [1-12] are assigned to 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0,-,+ of
the Number Pad for the keyboard respectively. Beside your default action bar, by assigning game
functions to the number pad of your keyboard, you will have access to more game functions right
at your finger tips.
Note: Activating the Num Lock of the keyboard affects the function of the Thumb Grid when your
Razer Naga Epic is in the Advanced [Num] configuration.
To change between the Basic [123] and Advanced [Num] configurations, simply adjust the switch at
the bottom of your Razer Naga Epic.
Lighting
You can customize the look of the Razer Naga Epic by giving you the ability to choose from over 16
million colors to adjust the color of the mouse.
Select the Spectrum Cycling option to allow the colors to change indefinitely.
You can adjust the light brightness to your liking.
Power Management
These settings are applicable in Wireless Mode.
a. Brightness
Upon entering Wireless Mode, the brightness level will be reduced to the level that you define.
b. Sleep Mode
You can adjust the number of minutes for the mouse to enter sleep mode when left in idle state.
c. Low Power
The scroll wheel lighting acts as a low power indicator. You can set the battery power percentage
at which to activate the flashing of the scroll wheel.
Check the Enable On-Screen Display box to show your profile name when the profile is activated.
Right-clicking on any profile allows you to quickly access a list of extra commands.
For best results, please charge the battery fully the first time you use the
Razer Naga Epic. A depleted battery will be fully charged in about 5 hours.
WIRELESS MODE
1. Connect the Cable Connector Jack to the Charging Dock.
2. Remove the side panel of the Razer Naga Epic.
3. Slide the lock switch and insert the battery into the battery compartment.

SAFETY GUIDELINES
In order to achieve maximum safety while using your mouse, we
suggest that you adopt the following guidelines:
1. Avoid looking directly at the tracking beam of your mouse or
pointing the beam in anyone else’s eye. Note that the tracking
beam is NOT visible to the naked human eye and is set on an
Always-On mode.
2. Should you have trouble operating the device properly and
troubleshooting does not work, unplug the device and contact
the Razer hotline or go to
www.razersupport.com for support.
Do not attempt to service or fix the device yourself at any time.
3. Do not take apart the device (doing so will also void your
warranty) and do not attempt to service it yourself or operate it
under abnormal current loads.
4. Keep your device away from liquid, humidity or moisture.
Operate your device only within the specified temperature range
of 0˚C (32˚F) to 40˚C (104˚F). Should you operate it in a
temperature that is beyond this range, unplug and switch off the
device in order to let the temperature stabilize within the
optimal temperature range.
COMFORT
Here are some tips to ensure that you are comfortable while using
your device. Research has shown that long periods of repetitive
motion, improper positioning of your computer peripherals,
incorrect body position, and poor habits may be associated with
physical discomfort and injury to nerves, tendons, and muscles.
Below are some guidelines to avoid injury and ensure optimum
comfort while using your Razer Naga Epic.
1. Position your keyboard and monitor directly in front of you with
your mouse next to it. Place your elbows next to your side, not
too far away and your mouse within easy reach.
2. Adjust the height of your chair and table so that the keyboard
and mouse are at or below elbow height.
3. Keep your feet well supported, posture straight and your
shoulders relaxed.
4. During gameplay, relax your wrist and keep it straight. If you do
the same tasks with your hands repeatedly, try not to bend,
extend or twist your hands for long periods.
5. Do not rest your wrists on hard surfaces for long periods. Use a
wrist rest to support your wrist while gaming.
6. Customize the buttons on your mouse to suit your style of
gaming in order to minimize repetitive or awkward motions
while gaming.
7. Make sure that your mouse fits comfortably in your hands.
8. Do not sit in the same position all day. Get up, step away from
your desk and do exercises to stretch your arms, shoulders,
neck and legs.
9. If you should experience any physical discomfort while using
your mouse, such as pain, numbness, or tingling in your hands,
wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck or back, please consult a
qualified medical doctor immediately.
MAINTENANCE AND USE
The Razer Naga Epic is equipped with a laser sensor, which has a
tracking beam that is invisible to the naked human eye. There is a
little regular maintenance to keep the Razer Naga Epic in optimum
condition. Once a month we recommend you unplug the device from
the USB port and clean the lens below the Razer Naga Epic with a
soft cloth or cotton swab. Use a little warm water but no soap or
harsh cleaning agents.
To get the ultimate experience in movement and control, we highly
recommend a premium mousing surface from Razer. Some surfaces
will cause undue wear on the feet requiring constant care and
eventual replacement.
Do note that the sensor of the Razer Naga Epic is ‘tuned’ or
optimized especially for the Razer mousing surfaces. This means that
the sensor has been tested extensively to confirm that the Razer
Naga Epic reads and tracks best on Razer mousing surfaces. Other
premium mousing surfaces from companies like Everglide™ may
work just as well.
BATTERY
Razer Naga Epic contains an internal, lithium-ion polymer
rechargeable battery. In general, the life expectancy of such batteries
is dependent upon usage. Heavy daily usage use will result in shorter
battery life. Casual use will extend battery life. If you suspect that the
lithium-ion polymer rechargeable battery inside the Razer Naga Epic
may be drained (has a low charge), try charging it. If the battery does
not recharge after several attempts, it may be non-operational.
Dispose of batteries according to your local environmental laws and
guidelines.

ADVANCED SETTINGS GUIDE
ACCELERATION
Acceleration is an internal filter of the driver, and is primarily a legacy option for low dpi mice
users. With acceleration enabled, faster mouse movements cover additional on-screen distance.
Windows has acceleration turned on by default as a convenience for users assuming that everyone
will have 400DPI mice, but this will likely be a hindrance to most gamers and precision users who
require greater accuracy.
DPI SWITCHER - RESOLUTION
Resolution is the number of counts per inch of movement sent by the mouse hardware to the OS.
E.g. 400DPI means a movement of one inch will result in 400 counts of movement. Without any of
the above filters operating, this will result in 400 pixels of movement on the screen.
INDEPENDENT X AND Y-AXIS SETTINGS
You can preset independent X-axis (sensitivity movements side to side) and Y-axis (sensitivity
movements up and down). When this feature is enabled and On-The-Fly Sensitivity is used, a new
on-the-fly interface bar that allows further sensitivity adjustments will appear on-screen.
MACROS
A macro is a sequence of keystrokes executed in a particular order and timing. It allows you to
execute a chain of commands, with the press of just one button for faster response in your games.
POLLING RATE
The polling rate determines the time intervals that the PC retrieves data from your mouse. A
higher value would mean shorter intervals and therefore less latency.
PROFILES
A profile allows you to store your various settings such as button assignments as a single group
for your convenience. In addition, you can also set your Razer Naga Epic to change profiles once a
particular program is launched.
