SAFETY GUIDELINE
In order to achieve maximum safety while using your Razer Chimaera, we suggest that you adopt
the following guidelines:
1. Should you have trouble operating the device properly and troubleshooting does not work,
unplug the device and contact the Razer hotline or go to www.razersupport.com for support.
Do not attempt to service or fix the device yourself at any time.
2. Do not take apart the device (doing so will also void your warranty) and do not attempt to
service it yourself or operate it under abnormal current loads.
3. Keep your device away from liquid, humidity or moisture. Operate your device only within the
specified temperature range of 0˚C (32˚F) to 40˚C (104˚F). Should you operate it in a
temperature that is beyond this range, unplug and switch off the device in order to let the
temperature stabilize within the optimal temperature range.
4. The device isolates external ambient sounds even at low volumes, resulting in lowered
awareness of your external surroundings. Please remove the device when engaging in any
activities that requires active awareness of your surroundings.
5. Excessively loud listening volumes damage your hearing over extended periods of time. The
legislation of certain countries allows a maximum permissible sound pressure level of 86dB to
affect your hearing for the duration of a working day. Therefore, please reduce your volume
level to a comfortable level for longer usage period. Take good care of your hearing.

MAINTENANCE AND USE
There is a little regular maintenance to keep the Razer Chimaera in optimum condition. Once a
month we recommend you unplug the device and clean the Razer Chimaera with a soft cloth or
cotton swab. Use a little warm water but no soap or harsh cleaning agents.
BATTERY
Razer Chimaera contains a nickel metal hydride rechargeable battery. In general, the life
expectancy of such batteries is dependent upon usage. Heavy daily usage use will result in shorter
battery life. Casual use will extend battery life. If you suspect that the nickel metal hydride
rechargeable battery inside the Razer Chimaera may be drained (has a low charge), try charging it.
If the battery does not recharge after several attempts, it may be non-operational. Dispose of
batteries according to your local environmental laws and guidelines.
BATTERY WARNING
Caution: risk of explosion and personal injury if batteries are replaced by incorrect type. Do not
open, mutilate, or expose to conducting materials (metal), moisture, liquid, fire, or heat. Doing so
may cause batteries to leak or explode, resulting in personal injury. Dispose of spent, leaking or
damaged batteries according to manufacturer instructions and local laws. Do not use or charge
batteries (nickel metal hydride rechargeables) if leaking, discolored, or deformed. Do not mix
battery types. Do not charge alkaline batteries. Do not leave rechargeable batteries discharged or
unused for extended periods. Battery life varies with usage. When replacing, remove all spent
batteries, and do not mix old batteries with new. When device is not in used for extended periods,
remove batteries to avoid leakage and store away from children in a cool, dry place at room
temperature.

POWER MANAGEMENT
If the headset does not receive an audio signal for 10 minutes, the headset will automatically
power down to conserve energy.
If the power in the headset drops below a 10% charge, a beeping sound will be emitted from the
unit at a 2 minute interval. At this point, please charge the headset.

Product was purchased. If any term herein is held to be invalid or unenforceable, then such term (in
so far as it is invalid or unenforceable) shall be given no effect and deemed to be excluded without

• Hold for 2 seconds to to turn on/off the Dolby Headphone mode.
Standby Button
• Press to turn on/off the power of the base station.
Source/Synchronization Button
• Press to toggle between the Digital Audio In and the RCA-in for the Xbox LIVE mode.
• Hold to pair the base station with the headset.
