ˆ Features STEREO/MONO or ANTISHOCK — switch between stereo and mono radio sound, or activate Super Anti-Shock System (SAS) in CD mode for uninterrupted play. PLAY MODE — repeatedly press to alternate between Intro Scan, Programmable Play, and Random Play. REPEAT/ENTER — press to automatically repeat a single track, an entire CD, or to confirm a selection. TUNER ON/BAND — press to turn on the radio and switch between AM, FM1, FM2, or FM3.

ˆ Preparation You can power your CD player from any of these sources: • two AA alkaline batteries (not supplied) • Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries (standard, alkaline, or rechargeable), or rechargeable batteries of different capacities. • two rechargeable AA nickel-cadmium batteries (RSU 11672508 not supplied) 1. Press down and slide the battery compartment cover in the direction of the arrow, then lift it up.

See “Using AC or DC Power”. 2. After about 17 hours, unplug the adapter and disconnect it from the CD player’s DC IN 4.5V jack. USING AC OR DC POWER To power the CD player from an AC outlet or your vehicle’s battery power, you need a regulated AC or DC adapter and an Adaptaplug (neither supplied, available at your local RadioShack store).
4. Plug the other end of the adapter into a standard AC outlet or into your vehicle’s cigarette lighter socket. 5. When you finish using the adapter, disconnect it from the AC outlet or your vehicle’s cigarette-lighter socket first, then unplug it from the CD player. Note: Always unplug the adapter before using the CD player with alkaline batteries. Otherwise the player will not operate. CONNECTING EARPHONES OR HEADPHONES • Set the volume to the lowest setting before you begin listening.

SUPER ANTI-SHOCK SYSTEM (SAS) SKIP AND AUDIBLE SEARCH Your CD player contains special circuits to overcome skipping problems caused by shock or vibration. This means you can listen to the CD player anywhere you go or use it in your vehicle. Press SKIP/SEARCH & during play to go to the beginning of the next track, % SKIP/SEARCH to return to the beginning of the current track, or % SKIP/SEARCH twice to go to the beginning of the previous track.
REPEAT PLAY PROGRAMMED PLAY Your CD player can repeatedly play a single track or the entire CD. You can program up to 22 tracks on a CD in any order you choose. To repeat the current track during play, press REPEAT/ENTER. When the track finishes playing, H;F;7Jý flashes and the track is repeated. 1. Repeatedly press PLAY MODE until FHE= flashes. && and F#&' appear. To repeat all tracks on the CD, press REPEAT/ENTER twice. H;F;7Jý appears and all tracks on the disc are repeated.
LOCKING THE CONTROLS You can lock the recorder’s controls to prevent them from being accidentally changed and to conserve battery power. Slide HOLD in the direction of arrow. All the controls except for OPEN, EBASS ON/OFF, and VOL are locked.
ˆ Troubleshooting With proper care and handling, your CD player should give you years of troublefree service. However, if your CD player is not working properly, follow these suggestions to see if you can eliminate the problem. If you still have a problem, take the CD player to your local RadioShack store for assistance. Problem Solution CD will not play. CD is upside down. Reinstall the CD label side up. Hold function is on. Slide HOLD to the left. CD is not seated snugly on compartment’s center hub.
ˆ Care Keep the CD player dry; if it gets wet, wipe it dry immediately. Use and store the CD player only in normal temperature environments. Handle the CD player carefully; do not drop it. Keep the CD player away from dust and dirt, and wipe it with a damp cloth occasionally to keep it looking new. always keep it in its protective case or sleeve when it is not in use. Fingerprints and scratches on the CD's surface can prevent the laser beam from correctly reading the digital information.
