12 s Elective CALL s Elective call 12 CSS AND DCS ‘You may sometimes want to hear calls only from specific persons or groups. In this case, use the Selective Call. This transceiver is equipped with CSS (Continuous Tone Coded Squelch System) and DCS (Digital Coded Squelch). These Selective Calls allow you fo ignore (not hear) unwanted calls from other persons who are using the same frequency. The transceiver response only when it receives a signal having the same CSS tone or DCS code.
