The Receiver How to turn it on and off Slide the on/off switch. (See photo, below left.) When you switch the receiver on, it will vibrate for one second, letting you know it is activated. It does not vibrate when you switch it off. How to install batteries The receiver comes with two CR2032 batteries already installed. When the batteries are drained, the receiver will give one long, weak buzz, or just stop working. You’ll notice that the range also decreases when the battery is low.

Theory of Operation Using the Die RealDie should be stored in the black magnetic holder when not in use. Open the wood paneled storage case to remove the magnetic holder and die. Remove the die from the magnetic holder, instantly turning the die on to send signals to the receiver unit. To conserve battery when the die is not in use, you need to store it in the provided magnetic holder in this orientation: 1-side facing up, 5-side facing the magnet, as shown below.

Active, Sleep, and Deep Sleep Modes Once the die is removed from the magnetic holder, it is instantly “on.” To conserve battery life, the die has four modes: active, sleep, and deep sleep. Active: When the die is turned to a new side, it will transmit the code for that side eight to ten times. Sleep: After transmitting eight to ten times, the die will go to sleep. At this point it will transmit only if turned to a new side.
