Promystic Inside Out Instruction Manual 3 INTRODUCTION Thank you for purchasing ProMystic’s Inside Out. I think you will find this to be a very power effect that is devious and so guilt free that you will feel like you are cheating. It is so light weight and so fair that it will defy examination. There is nowhere for the spectator to go. The Inside Out box is made to high precision specification. I had several different designs that ranged from bulky and cumbersome to light weight and flimsy.
Promystic Inside Out Instruction Manual 4 PREPARING ELECTRONICS Remove Electronics and False Bottom You will need a paper clip for this. Find the bottom of the cube and push the paper clip into the hole to push the bottom electronics and plastic false bottom out of the cube. Remove the electronics and false bottom with your fingers. Installing the Battery: Install the battery with the ‘+’ side up. When installing the battery, the ‘6’ side is up when the battery clasp is up.
Promystic Inside Out Instruction Manual 5 Installing the electronics into the base: Install the electronics into the base with the batter going in first and covering the hole in the bottom of the box. There are four small posts in the corners of the box to hold it perfectly level. The battery clasp should cover the hold so that when you poke it out with a paper clip you are poking the battery. Installing the false bottom: First install the electronic board with the battery side going in first.
Promystic Inside Out Instruction Manual 6 CUSTOMIZING YOUR BOX Installing Engraved Wood Emotion Tiles in Sides: The wood tiles are installed by inserting them into the grooves in the side of the cube. They are best to install them with the wood grain going up and down in this picture, the words are horizontal. Installing Tiles in the TOP and BOTTOM: Notice in the lid and bottom that there are two wide groves that are used for installing the tiles.
Promystic Inside Out Instruction Manual 7 Color Sides: The color tiles are installed in the same manner as the wood tiles. Yellow and Black are used for 1 and 6 typically. Whiteboard Sides: Polished Edges Notice that there are two clear Lexan tiles that are Labeled “TOP”. They are special tiles for the top and bottom of the cube. They have special polished sides to make them easier to install into the top and bottom of the cube. You must use these in the top and bottom of the cube.
Promystic Inside Out Instruction Manual 8 THE RECEIVER How to turn it on and off: Slide the on/off switch. (See photo, below left.) When you switch the receiver on, it will vibrate for one second, letting you know it is ON. It does not vibrate when you switch it OFF. ON How to install batteries: The receiver comes with two CR2032 batteries already installed. When the batteries are drained, the receiver will give one long, weak buzz, or just stop working.
Promystic Inside Out Instruction Manual 9 BATTERY TIPS Good batteries will give you about ten hours of active performance time. I recommend Panasonic, Sony, Energizer, or Renata. You can buy them online for less than $1 apiece. I get my batteries at www.digikey.com. Keep new batteries on hand, storing them so they don’t contact each other or other metal. You should keep the receiver off when you’re not using it, or the battery will drain. You do not need to remove the batteries.
Promystic Inside Out Instruction Manual 10 HOW THE CODES WORK The box has six sides. The transmitter inside sends out one to six pulses, according to which side is on top. The receiver vibrates or “buzzes” in response, telling you what you need to know. Each sequence of buzzes is followed by a pause. The sequence repeats ten times, unless the cube is turned before the tenth signal. For example, a “4” registers as buzz/buzz/buzz/buzz/pause; buzz/buzz/buzz/buzz/pause; etc.
Promystic Inside Out Instruction Manual 11 Active, Sleep, Deep Sleep, and LOCK Modes: With a battery installed, the cube is always “on.” To conserve battery life, the cube has four modes: active, sleep, deep sleep, and lock. Active: When the cube is turned to a new side, it will transmit the code for that side ten times. Sleep: After transmitting ten times, the cube will go to sleep. At this point it will transmit only if turned to a new side.

We will, at our option, repair or replace Promystic products that prove to be defective either upon your receipt or though normal usage.
