Installing the hardware.

The ACTIVote transceiver is installed by simply plugging the 25 pin

connector into the slot provided on the upper surface of the ACTIVboard

electronics pod. This is behind the upper left corner of the board.

Two alternatives for housing the transceiver are illustrated below:

Installing the software.

You will need the diskette provided with the upgrade kit. Follow the

instructions (either A or B depending on your PC set up), below to flash

upgrade your ACTIVboard Plus system to ACTIVote:

TP1397 PRM-AVOTE-UPGRADE Installation instructions A) Most computers are set up to boot from a floppy disk prior to booting from the hard disk drive. If the computer BIOS is configured to boot from the floppy drive then: 1) Make sure the ACTIVboard is attached to the serial port and is switched on. 2) Place floppy disk in drive. 3) Reboot the host PC. 4) The flash upgrade program will then automatically launch.
