The button allows you to make changes to your profile, you may this will overwrite your existing user profile resetting everything so that ACTIVstudio has no record of any customisation you may have previously done.

These pens "tune" themselves to the board and are not designed to operate alternately. You are advised to use one pen at a time, keeping the spare in a safe place.
