USER MANUAL FOR AQUA ACTUATOR AND AQUA REMOTE

WELCOME

Thank you for purchasing the Aqua Remote and Aqua Actuator, part of Simple Flow

Inc.’s Aqua Line. The Aqua Remote works with the Aqua Actuator to remotely open

and close standard ¼ turn ball valves. After installing the Aqua Line, there’s no need

to enter a customer’s home or business, removing the hassle of coordinating

schedules, reducing liability, and allowing you to get more done. If you need an

BEFORE YOU START

1. Charge it. Charge the Aqua Remote using the included AC power or USB adaptor. It

takes approx. 90 minutes for the remote to fully charge.

2. Register it online. Visit simpleflowinc.com/register to register your Aqua Remote

and create a Master Pin (MPIN) and Unique Company ID (UCID) before use.

3. Set-up remote & test. Turn on and program Aqua Remote using Master Pin and

Unique Company ID you registered online. Create a unique Pin for the remote. The

Aqua Remote is now ready to sync with the Aqua Actuator and be used in the field.

One Aqua Remote can control multiple Aqua Actuators.

INSTALLATION: AQUA ACTUATOR

Your Simple Flow Aqua Actuator can be mounted to any pre-existing ½” to 1 ½” ball valve

that is located with at least 7” of clearance between walls/structures/obstructions and the

ball valve handle both in the open or close position. It is mountable to PEX, PVC, copper or

any other type of standard plumbing pipe.

Steps: 1. Make sure the valve is easily useable by hand with minimal force before continuing further with installation. Even though the Actuator was built with a strong and durable motor, if the valve is too stiff, it may need to be replaced before proceeding with installation. 2. Place the ball valve in the closed position. Special note: this is very important to ensure proper alignment of the Actuator on the ball valve. 3.

SET-UP AND SYNC AQUA ACTUATOR WITH AQUA REMOTE Once you have installed the Aqua Actuator and have the Aqua Remote in hand, proceed with the following steps to sync and control the actuator using the remote: 1. U O S C A On the remote, enter your remote specific PIN to log in. (Default is 0000) P I N : 0 0 0 0 2. On the remote, enter the Unique Property ID (UPID) of the property where the valve actuator will be located and associated with.

5. Select the serial number of the actuator you wish to pair and click OK. S N R : x x x x x x x x x x 6. Select “Set UCID” first to assign the actuator to your company’s Unique Company ID. Confirm the action and select Yes when asked. a. Company UCID is set in administrator mode to associate the actuator to your company. (Refer to Administrator Mode section for instructions on setting the UCID for the first time or to change UCID on the remote).

Change UPID to desired number by scrolling left or right with the arrows on the keypad of the remote to desired position on each of the 6 available digits. c. Reset Counter (resets the manual operations counter to 0) V O O S R A F N H E L F V O S W E E S T 0 1 T C A O O T U U N S T E F F R AQUA ACTUATOR UCID TRANSFER/RESET You’re Actuator MUST BE REGISTERED with Simple Flow (simpleflowinc.com/register) in order to transfer/reset an actuator to a new Unique Company ID (UCID). You will need a specific reset code (DSRC) in order to perform this process. This can be retrieved by contacting Simple Flow at simpleflowinc.com.
