To help us assist you, note the product model number and serial number before contacting us. The model number and the location of the serial number decal are shown on the front cover of this manual. For your benefit, read this manual carefully before you use the treadmill.
PART IDENTIFICATION CHART Use the drawings below to identify small parts used for assembly. The number in parentheses below each drawing is the key number of the part, from the Part List near the end of this manual. The number following the key number is the quantity used for assembly. Note: If a part is not in the hardware kit, check to see if it is preattached. Extra parts may be included.
ASSEMBLY • Assembly requires two persons. • To identify small parts, see page 6. • Place all parts in a cleared area and remove the packing materials. Do not dispose of the packing materials until you finish all assembly steps. • Assembly requires the following tools: the included hex keys one Phillips screwdriver • After shipping, there may be an oily substance on the exterior of the treadmill. This is normal.
3. Locate the Upright Wire (63) bundled between the Base (74) and the Belly Pan (52). Route the Upright Wire into the Base and out of the indicated hole. 3 Press a Base Cap (70) into each side of the Base (74) (only one side is shown). See the inset drawing. Cut the plastic tie near the Upright Wire (63). Be careful not to damage the Upright Wire. 74 52 Tie 63 4. Identify the Right Upright (76). Have a second person hold the Right Upright near the Base (74).
5. Hold the Right Upright (76) against the Base (74). Be careful not to pinch the Upright Wire (63). 5 Insert a 3/8" x 3 1/4" Screw (2) with a 3/8" Star Washer (3) into the top hole in the Right Upright (76). Then, partially tighten the Screw into the Base (74). 76 Partially tighten two more 3/8" x 3 1/4" Screws (2) with two 3/8" Star Washers (3) into the Right Upright (76) and the Base (74); do not fully tighten the Screws yet. 3 Attach the Left Upright (not shown) in the same way.
7. Position the Console Crossbar (61) between the Left and Right Handrails (59, 64) with the Console Ground Wire (47) positioned as shown. 7 47 Attach the Console Crossbar (61) to the Left and Right Handrails (59, 64) with the four 5/16" x 3/4" Screws (5) that you removed in step 6. Start all four Screws, and then tighten them. 64 61 5 5 59 8. Insert the included tie (C) through the indicated holes in the top and bottom of the Right Handrail (64) as shown.
9. With the help of a second person, hold the console assembly near the Right Handrail (64). 9 See the inset drawing. Connect the Upright Wire (63) to the console wire. The connectors should slide together easily and snap into place. If they do not, turn one connector and try again. If YOU DO NOT CONNECT the connectors properly, the console may become damaged when you turn on the power. Then, remove the wire tie from the Upright Wire.
11. Attach the two Console Clamps (83) to the console assembly with four #8 x 1" Screws (7). 11 Console Assembly 83 83 7 7 12. Raise the Frame (38) to the position shown. Have a second person hold the Frame during the next two assembly steps. 12 Attach the Latch Crossbar (44) to the Frame (38) with two 1/4" x 1 3/4" Screws (22).

Orient the Storage Latch (84) so that the decals are facing away from the treadmill as shown. 13 Attach the lower end of the Storage Latch (84) to the Base (74) with an M8 x 45mm Bolt (65), two Latch Spacers (82), and an M8 Nut (68). 68 38 67 Attach the upper end of the Storage Latch (84) with an M8 x 53mm Bolt (67) and an M8 Nut (68). 84 Lower the Frame (38) (see HOW TO LOWER THE TREADMILL FOR USE on page 20). SP OPERATION AND ADJUSTMENT HOW TO PLUG IN THE POWER CORD Follow the steps below to plug in the power cord. This product must be earthed. If it should malfunction or break down, earthing provides a path of least resistance for electric current to reduce the risk of electric shock. This product’s power cord has an equipment-earthing conductor and an earthing plug. IMPORTANT: If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced with a manufacturer-recommended power cord. 1.

To use the sound system, see page 19. FEATURES OF THE CONSOLE The treadmill console offers an impressive array of features designed to make your workouts more effective and enjoyable. IMPORTANT: If there is a sheet of plastic on the console, remove the plastic.
HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER HOW TO USE THE MANUAL MODE IMPORTANT: If the treadmill has been exposed to cold temperatures, allow it to warm to room temperature before you turn on the power. If you do not do this, you may damage the console displays or other electrical components. 1. Insert the key into the console. Plug in the power cord (see page 14). Next, locate the power switch on the treadmill frame near the power cord. Press the power switch into the reset position.
5. Follow your progress with the displays. 6. Measure your heart rate if desired. The far left display— When you select the manual mode, the matrix will display a track that represents 400m (1/4 mile). As you exercise, the indicators around the track will appear in succession until the entire track appears. The track will then disappear and the indicators will again begin to appear in succession.
HOW TO USE A PRESET WORKOUT segment of the workout. The height of the flashing segment indicates the speed setting for the current segment. At the end of each segment, a tone will sound and the next segment of the profile will begin to flash. If a new speed and/or incline setting is programmed for the next segment, the new speed and/or incline setting will appear in the displays. The treadmill will then automatically adjust to the new speed and/or incline setting. 1. Insert the key into the console.
THE INFORMATION MODE The console features a display demo mode, designed to be used if the treadmill is displayed in a store. While the demo mode is turned on, the console will function normally when you plug in the power cord, press the power switch into the reset position, and insert the key into the console. However, when you remove the key, the displays will remain lit, although the buttons will not function.

TROUBLESHOOTING Most treadmill problems can be solved by following the simple steps below. Find the symptom that applies, and follow the steps listed. EXERCISE GUIDELINES Burning Fat—To burn fat effectively, you must exercise at a low intensity level for a sustained period of time. During the first few minutes of exercise, your body uses carbohydrate calories for energy. Only after the first few minutes of exercise does your body begin to use stored fat calories for energy. If your goal is to burn fat, adjust the intensity of your exercise until your heart rate is near the lowest number in your training zone.
