information to enhance productivity and safe operation of the vehicle. It is important

that this document be read completely and understood thoroughly by all those involved

in installation on and operation of vehicles equipped with this device.

www.preco.com PREVIEW PV2000 OBJECT DETECTION SYSTEM OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND INSTALLATION PROCEDURE Product Description The PreView Object Detection System is a system that detects both moving and stationary objects in a pre-defined area and reports the distance of the closest detected object via visual range indicators and an audible signal to a vehicle operator. The PreView system is designed as a back-up aid and is not to be the sole method for rear collision avoidance.

NOTE: The back-up alarm and display audible indications will only become active if the vehicle is in reverse. The PreView system operator display unit will continue to indicate distance to detected objects on the display LEDs even while the vehicle is not in reverse.

Installation Instructions Locate the PreView sensor unit so it will operate properly under all conditions. The PreView system is very sensitive to mounting location and orientation. The sensor should be mounted in the rear center of the vehicle, perpendicular to the ground at a height of 3 feet (1meter). If this is not feasible, heights between 2 and 4 feet (0.6 and 1.2 meters) are allowed by mounting the radar sensor plus or minus 5 degrees from vertical (see Figure 1).

MANUFACTURER LIMITED WARRANTY AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY Manufacturer warrants that on the Date of Purchase this Product will conform to Manufacturer's published specifications for the product, which are available from Manufacturer on request, and Manufacturer warrants that the product is free from defects in materials and workmanship. This Limited Warranty extends for twelve (12) months from the date of manufacture.
