PRECAUTIONS
The Polar training computer shows your performance
indicators. Polar training computer is designed to indicate
the level of physiological strain and recovery during and after
exercise session. It measures heart rate and depending on use
of compatible accessories/sensors also speed and distance,
cadence, position and other variables. No other use is intended
or implied. See www.polar.com/en/products/accessories for a
complete list of compatible accessories.
The Polar training computer should not be used for obtaining
environmental measurements that require professional or
industrial precision.
Minimizing risks when exercising: Exercise may include
some risk. Before beginning a regular exercise program, it
is recommended that you answer the following questions
concerning your health status. If you answer yes to any of these
questions, we recommend that you consult a doctor before
starting any training program.
• Have you been physically inactive for the past 5 years?
• Do you have high blood pressure or high blood cholesterol?
• Are you taking any blood pressure or heart medication?
• Do you have a history of breathing problems?
• Do you have symptoms of any disease?
• Are you recovering from a serious illness or medical
treatment?
• Do you use a pacemaker or other implanted electronic
device?
• Do you smoke?
• Are you pregnant?
In addition to exercise intensity, medications for heart
conditions, blood pressure, psychological conditions, asthma,
breathing, etc., as well as some energy drinks, drugs, alcohol, and
nicotine may also aect heart rate.
It is important to be sensitive to your body’s responses during
exercise. If you feel unexpected pain or excessive fatigue when
exercising, it is recommended that you stop the exercise or
continue at a lighter intensity.
Note! If you are using a pacemaker, you can use Polar training
computers. In theory interference to pacemaker caused by Polar
products should not be possible. In practice no reports exist
to suggest anyone ever having experienced interference. We
cannot however issue an ocial guarantee on our products’
suitability with all pacemakers or other implanted devices due
to the variety of devices available. If you have any doubts, or
if you experience any unusual sensations while using Polar
products, please consult your physician or contact the implanted
electronic device manufacturer to determine safety in your case.
If you are allergic to any substance that comes into contact
with your skin or if you suspect an allergic reaction due to
using the product, check the listed materials in Technical
Specications.
In case of any skin reaction, stop using the product and consult
your physician.
The combined impact of moisture and intense abrasion
may cause a black color to come o the heart rate
sensor’s surface, possibly staining light-colored clothes.
If you use perfume or insect repellent on your skin, you
must ensure that it does not come into contact with the
training computer or the heart rate sensor.
If you train in cold conditions (-20 °C to -10 °C / -4 °F to 14
°F ) we recommend that you wear the training computer
under the sleeve of your jacket, directly on your skin.
Disturbance may occur near electrical devices and WLAN base
stations. To avoid erratic reading or misbehaviors, move away
from possible sources of disturbance. For further information,

LIMITED INTERNATIONAL POLAR GUARANTEE
Polar Electro Oy issues a limited international guarantee for
Polar products. For products which have been sold in the
USA or Canada, guarantee is issued by Polar Electro, Inc. Polar
Electro Oy/Polar Electro Inc. guarantees the original consumer/
purchaser of the Polar Electro device that the product will be
free from defects in material or workmanship for two (2) years
from the date of purchase. The guarantee does not cover normal
wear and tear of the battery, or other normal wear and tear,
damage due to misuse, abuse, accidents or non-compliance
with the precautions; improper maintenance, commercial use,
cracked, broken or scratched cases/displays, armband, elastic
strap and Polar apparel. The guarantee does also not cover any
damage/s, losses, costs or expenses, direct, indirect or incidental,
consequential or special, arising out of, or related to the product.
Guarantee does not cover products which have been purchased
second hand. During the guarantee period, the product will be
either repaired or replaced at any of the authorized Polar Central
Services regardless of the country of purchase. Guarantee issued
by Polar Electro Oy/Inc. does not aect the consumer’s statutory
rights under applicable national or state laws in force, or the
consumer’s rights against the dealer arising from their sales/
purchase contract. You should keep the receipt as a proof of
purchase! Guarantee with respect to any product will be limited
to countries where the product has been initially marketed by

Die Herzfrequenz kann nicht nur durch die Trainingsintensität,
sondern zusätzlich auch durch Medikamente gegen
Erkrankungen des Herzens, Asthma, Atembeschwerden usw.
sowie durch Energy-Drinks, Alkohol und Nikotin beeinusst
werden.
Achten Sie während des Trainings unbedingt auf die Reaktionen
Ihres Körpers. Wenn Sie während des Trainings unerwartete
Schmerzen oder starke Ermüdung verspüren, sollten Sie
das Training beenden oder mit einer geringeren Intensität
fortfahren.
Hinweis! Auch wenn Sie einen Herzschrittmacher tragen,
können Sie Polar Trainingscomputer nutzen. Theoretisch sollten
keine Störungen des Herzschrittmachers durch Polar Produkte
auftreten. Es liegen keinerlei Berichte über das Auftreten
solcher Störungen vor. Aufgrund der Vielzahl der Modelle
solcher Geräte können wir jedoch keine ozielle Garantie für

Minimiser les risques lors des séances d’entraînement
: L’entraînement peut présenter certains risques. Avant
de commencer un programme d’entraînement régulier,
il est recommandé de prendre le temps de répondre
aux questions suivantes concernant votre santé. Si vous
répondez armativement à une de ces questions, nous vous
recommandons de consulter un médecin avant d’entamer tout
programme d’entraînement.
• Avez-vous cessé toute pratique d’une activité physique
depuis plus de 5 ans ?
• Avez-vous de l’hypertension ou un taux de cholestérol
élevé ?
• Prenez-vous des médicaments pour la pression artérielle ou
pour le cœur ?
• Avez-vous (ou avez-vous eu) des problèmes respiratoires ?
• Présentez-vous des symptômes d’une pathologie
quelconque ?
• Êtes-vous en période de convalescence ou suivez-vous
actuellement un traitement médical ?
• Êtes-vous porteur d’un stimulateur cardiaque ou d’un autre
appareil électronique implanté ?
• Est-ce que vous fumez ?
• Êtes-vous enceinte ?
En plus d’une activité physique intense, les médicaments pour
le cœur, la pression artérielle, les conditions psychologiques,
l’asthme, la respiration, etc., ainsi que certaines boissons
énergisantes, l’alcool et la nicotine peuvent également aecter
la fréquence cardiaque.
Il est important de tenir compte des réactions de votre corps
lors de vos entraînements. Si lors de votre entraînement, vous
ressentez une douleur inattendue ou une fatigue excessive, il
est recommandé d’arrêter l’exercice ou de continuer à moindre
intensité.
Remarque ! Si vous portez un stimulateur cardiaque, vous
pouvez utiliser les cardios Polar. En théorie, les produits
Polar ne doivent pas pouvoir causer d’interférences avec les
stimulateurs cardiaques. Dans la pratique, aucun rapport ne
laisse penser que quiconque ait expérimenté des interférences.
Toutefois, nous ne pouvons pas émettre de garantie ocielle
concernant l’adéquation de nos produits avec tous les
stimulateurs cardiaques ou autres dispositifs implantés en
raison de leur diversité. En cas de doute ou si vous ressentez des
sensations inhabituelles lors de l’utilisation de produits Polar,
consultez votre médecin ou contactez le fabricant du dispositif
électronique implanté an de vous assurer de votre sécurité.
Si vous êtes allergique à une substance qui entre en contact
avec votre peau ou si vous suspectez une réaction allergique
due à l’utilisation de ce produit, consultez la liste des matériaux

En cas de réaction cutanée, cessez d’utiliser le produit et
consultez votre médecin.
L’humidité et l’abrasion combinées peuvent faire en
sorte que du noir se forme à la surface de l’émetteur
de fréquence cardiaque, maculant ainsi les vêtements
clairs. Si vous appliquez sur votre peau du parfum ou
un spray insecticide, assurez-vous que le produit n’entre
pas en contact avec le cardio ou l’émetteur de fréquence
cardiaque.
Si vous vous entraînez dans des conditions de grand froid
(de -20 °C à -10 °C), il est recommandé de porter le cardio
sous la manche de votre veste, directement sur la peau.
Des interférences sont possibles à proximité d’appareils
électriques et de bornes WLAN. Pour éviter toute lecture
erronée ou tout dysfonctionnement, éloignez l’appareil des

GARANTIE INTERNATIONALE POLAR
Polar Electro Oy émet une garantie internationale limitée pour

Il training computer Polar è progettato per indicare il livello di
sforzo siologico e di recupero durante e dopo una sessione di
allenamento. Calcola la frequenza cardiaca e, in base all’utilizzo
di accessori/sensori compatibili, anche velocità e distanza,
cadenza, posizione e altre variabili. Il prodotto non è destinato

Il training computer Polar non deve essere utilizzato per eseguire
misurazioni ambientali di precisione di tipo professionale o

Oltre all’intensità dell’allenamento, ai farmaci per il trattamento
di disturbi cardiaci, alla pressione arteriosa, alle condizioni
psicologiche, all’asma, all’attività respiratoria, ecc., anche alcune
bevande stimolanti, droghe, l’alcol e la nicotina possono avere
eetti sulla frequenza cardiaca.
È importante prestare attenzione alle proprie reazioni
siologiche durante l’allenamento. Se si avverte un dolore
inatteso o una stanchezza eccessiva, è bene sospendere
l’allenamento o ridurne l’intensità.
Nota! I portatori di pace-maker possono utilizzare i training
computer Polar. In teoria, i prodotti Polar non dovrebbero
causare interferenze ai pace-maker. In pratica, non esiste

In caso di reazioni allergiche da contatto, cessare di usare il

L’azione combinata dell’umidità e dell’attrito può causare
il distacco della supercie nera del sensore di frequenza
cardiaca e quindi macchiare i capi d’abbigliamento
chiari. Se si utilizza profumo o un repellente per insetti
sulla pelle, è necessario evitare che entri in contatto con il
training computer o il sensore di frequenza cardiaca.
Se ci si allena in condizioni climatiche rigide (da -20° C a
-10° C), si consiglia di indossare il training computer sotto
la manica della giacca, direttamente sulla pelle.
Si possono vericare disturbi accanto a dispositivi elettrici
e stazioni base WLAN. Per evitare errori di lettura dei valori

VOORZORGSMAATREGELEN
De Polar trainingscomputer toont uw prestatie-indicatoren.
De Polar trainingscomputer is ontwikkeld om het niveau van
fysiologische inspanning en herstel aan te geven tijdens en na
de training. Hij meet de hartslag en, afhankelijk van het gebruik
van compatibele accessoires en sensoren, tevens de snelheid,
afstand, positie en andere variabelen. De sensoren zijn niet
geschikt of bedoeld voor andere doeleinden. Zie

De Polar trainingscomputer dient niet te worden gebruikt voor
het uitvoeren van omgevingsmetingen waarvoor professionele
of industriële precisie vereist is.
Risico’s tijdens trainen beperken: Trainen kan risico’s met zich
meebrengen. Voordat u begint aan een vast trainingsprogramma
is het raadzaam dat u eerst de volgende vragen betreende
uw gezondheid beantwoordt. Als u één van deze vragen met
ja beantwoordt, raden wij u aan eerst een arts te raadplegen
voordat u met een trainingsprogramma begint.
• Hebt u de afgelopen vijf jaar niets aan sport gedaan?
• Hebt u een hoge bloeddruk of een hoog cholesterolgehalte?
• Gebruikt u medicijnen voor uw bloeddruk of uw hart?
• Hebt u wel eens last van ademhalingsproblemen?
• Vertoont u symptomen van een ziekte?
• Bent u herstellende van een zware ziekte of medische
ingreep?
• Gebruikt u een pacemaker of andere geïmplanteerde
elektronische apparatuur?
• Rookt u?
• Bent u in verwachting?
Behalve de trainingsintensiteit, kunnen ook medicijnen voor
het hart, de bloeddruk, psychische aandoeningen, astma,
ademhaling enzovoort, en sommige energiedranken, drugs,
alcohol en nicotine de hartslag beïnvloeden.
Het is belangrijk om aandacht te schenken aan de reacties
van uw lichaam tijdens het trainen. Als u plotseling pijn of
overmatige vermoeidheid voelt tijdens het sporten, raden wij
u aan te stoppen of op een lager inspanningsniveau verder
te gaan.
Opmerking! Het dragen van een pacemaker is geen
belemmering voor het gebruik van Polar trainingscomputers.
In theorie kunnen Polar-producten geen storing veroorzaken
met pacemakers. In de praktijk zijn er geen berichten die erop
wijzen dat iemand ooit storing heeft ondervonden. Vanwege
de verscheidenheid aan pacemakers en andere geïmplanteerde
apparaten, kunnen wij nochtans niet ocieel garanderen dat
onze producten geschikt zijn voor al deze instrumenten. Als
u twijfels hebt of uitzonderlijke gevoelens ervaart tijdens het
gebruik van Polar-producten, raadpleeg dan uw arts of neem
contact op met de fabrikant van het elektronische apparaat om
na te gaan de veiligheid in uw geval voldoende gewaarborgd is.
Als u overgevoelig bent voor een stof die in contact komt met
de huid, of als u een allergische reactie vermoedt vanwege het
gebruik van het product, controleer dan de in de Technische
specicaties genoemde materialen.
Stop in het geval van huidreactie met het gebruik van dit
product en raadpleeg uw arts.
Door de combinatie van vocht en het schuren van
de borstband kan deze afgeven en zwarte vlekken
achterlaten op lichte kleding. Als u parfum of een
insectenwerend middel op uw huid aanbrengt, dient
u ervoor te zorgen dat dit niet in contact komt met de
trainingscomputer of de hartslagsensor.
Indien u in koude weersomstandigheden traint (-20
°C tot -10 °C / -4 °F tot 14 °F ), raden wij u aan om de
trainingscomputer onder de mouw van uw jas te dragen,
rechtstreeks op uw huid.
In de buurt van elektrische apparaten en WLAN-basisstations
kan storing optreden. Voorkom onregelmatige metingen door
uit de buurt te blijven van mogelijke storingsbronnen. Zie www.

BEPERKTE INTERNATIONALE POLARGARANTIE
Polar Electro Oy verleent een beperkte internationale garantie
voor Polar-producten. Voor producten die in de Verenigde Staten
of Canada zijn aangeschaft, wordt deze garantie verleend door
Polar Electro, Inc. Polar Electro Oy/Polar Electro Inc. garandeert
de oorspronkelijke gebruiker of koper van het apparaat van
Polar Electro, dat dit product vrij zal zijn van materiaal- en
productiefouten gedurende twee (2) jaar na de aankoopdatum.

Tweedehands gekochte producten zijn niet gedekt door de
garantie. Gedurende de garantieperiode zal het product worden
gerepareerd of vervangen door één van de erkende Polar Service
Centers, ongeacht het land van aankoop. De door Polar Electro
Oy/Inc. verleende garantie heeft geen invloed op de wettelijke
rechten van de klant volgens de geldende nationale regelgeving,
noch op de rechten van de klant ten opzichte van de dealer die

Además de la intensidad del ejercicio, la frecuencia cardíaca
puede verse afectada por la medicación para el corazón, la
tensión, afecciones psicológicas, asma, problemas respiratorios,
etc., así como por las bebidas energéticas, los medicamentos, las
drogas, el alcohol y la nicotina.
Es muy importante prestar atención a las reacciones de tu
cuerpo durante el ejercicio. Si sientes un cansancio excesivo o
un dolor inesperado durante el ejercicio, se recomienda parar
o continuar con una intensidad más suave.
¡Atención! Si utilizas un marcapasos, puedes utilizar los
pulsómetro de entrenamiento Polar. En teoría, no es posible que
se produzcan interferencias en el marcapasos causadas por los
productos Polar. En la práctica, no existen informes que indiquen
que alguien haya experimentado jamás ninguna interferencia.
Sin embargo, no podemos emitir una garantía ocial acerca de
la idoneidad de nuestros productos con los marcapasos ni otros
dispositivos implantados debido a la variedad de dispositivos
disponibles. Si tienes cualquier duda o experimentas cualquier
sensación inusual mientras usas los productos Polar, consulta
a tu médico o contacta con el fabricante del dispositivo
electrónico para determinar su seguridad en tu caso.
Si tienes alergia a cualquier material que entra en contacto
con la piel o si sospechas una reacción alérgica debido a
la utilización del producto, revisa la lista de materiales que

Si te produce alguna reacción cutánea, deja de utilizar el
producto y consulta a tu médico.
El impacto de la combinación de humedad y abrasión
intensa puede provocar que aparezca un color negro en
la supercie del HR Sensor, que posiblemente manche las
prendas de colores claros. Si aplicas perfume o repelente
de insectos en la piel, debes asegurarte de que no entre
en contacto con el pulsómetro de entrenamiento o el
HR Sensor.
Si entrenas en entornos fríos (de -20 a -10 °C)
te recomendamos que lleves el pulsómetro de
entrenamiento debajo de la manga de la chaqueta, en
contacto con tu piel.
Pueden producirse interferencias cerca de los dispositivos
electrónicos y puntos de acceso WLAN. Para evitar lecturas
erráticas y otros problemas, aléjate de las posibles fuentes de

algum risco. Antes de iniciar um programa regular de exercício,
recomendamos que responda às seguintes perguntas relativas
ao seu estado de saúde. Se responder positivamente a alguma
destas perguntas, recomendamos que consulte um médico
antes de iniciar um programa de treino.
• Deixou de praticar exercício durante os últimos 5 anos?
• Tem hipertensão ou colesterol elevado?
• Está a tomar algum medicamento para a tensão ou para o
coração?
• Tem ou teve problemas respiratórios?
• Tem sintomas de alguma doença?
• Está a recuperar de doença grave ou de tratamento médico?
• Tem um pacemaker ou outro dispositivo electrónico
implantado?
• Fuma?
• Está grávida?
Para além da intensidade do exercício, as medicações para o
coração, tensão arterial, patologias do foro psicológico, asma,
problemas respiratórios, etc., bem como algumas bebidas
