DA60 Known Issue: Power Save Functions
on PC Don't Activate
Answer
When the DA60 is connected to a PC running Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8,
power save functions (screen saver, sleep, hibernate, etc.) do not activate.
The reason for this is that the DA60 is designed to send small data packets to the host and the
data is intended to be received and processed by Persono Pro 2 program. Windows XP and
earlier Microsoft operating systems ignored this traffic. Starting with Vista and continuing
through Windows 7 and 8, the OS considers this data stream as ‘user data’ input, like wiggling a
mouse. The result of this data stream is that the screen saver and power save functions never
kick in. After considerable investigation we have not identified a workaround to tell the OS that
our device is not a mouse and to not consider the data stream as user input.
Note: The DA40 and DA45 do not exhibit this issue.
Android Battery Meter App Troubleshooting:
Compatibility with the Samsung Galaxy S4
Question
My Samsung Galaxy S4 does not show the battery status of my headset even though I have the
Battery Meter app installed. Instead, the battery meter shows an exclamation mark inside a triangle
icon where the battery status should be. Why does this happen?
Answer
This is a known and unresolved issue specifically with the Samsung Galaxy S4 running Android 4.2.2
(Jelly Bean). The problem does not come up on any other phones running Android 4.2.2, nor does it
occur running any other Android OS.
This issue has been escalated to Samsung and we are working with them to fix the problem. We will post
updates in this article as any new information becomes available on the matter.
This issue will occur when the app is running on any Android phone, regardless of OS, that is
connected to any PLT Bluetooth headset that does not have XEvents capabilities. Here is a list of
headsets that are compatible with the app:
o Voyager Legend
o Voyager Edge
