1 Getting Started INTRODUCTION Bluetooth wireless technology eliminates the need for cables between electronic devices such as desktop computers, printers and local area networks (LANs). Bluetooth wireless technology provides fast, reliable, and secure wireless communication in a small space, and enables you to synchronize devices like your desktop computer and mobile phone.
Getting Started ■ Authentication: Security feature that requires users to verify a numeric passkey before exchanging data. ■ Authorization: Security feature that requires user approval before another user is allowed to share data. ■ Bonded Device: Recognized by your device so as not to require Authentication or Authorization. ■ Device: Bluetooth equipped piece of hardware. ■ Device address: Unique electronic address of a Bluetooth device.
Getting Started Installing the Software This section contains instructions for installing the software required to use your new iPAQ Bluetooth Sleeve.
