You are ready to install your Hand Scanner near a handwashing station! Make sure your device placement meets the following criteria: <50 in. off the ground (for visibility) >12 in. away from a reflective surface (stainless steel, glossy tile…) Close to sink and outlet Reach PathSpot Support at support@pathspottech.
Mark the spot 1. Remove the mounting plate from the box and select your installation location. 2. Hold the mounting plate so that the brackets stick out towards you. Important: For maximum impact, choose a wall next to your handwashing station. 3. Use your tape measure to confirm that the distance between the floor and the top of the bracket is less than 50 in. Important: To avoid light interference place the Hand Scanner at least 12 in. from any reflective surfaces (stainless steel, glossy tile, mirror etc.
4. Hold the bracket to the desired location, using a level to confirm the bracket is straight. Mark the 4 mounting holes on the wall. Important: Check that the Hand Scanner will not obstruct walkways or create a tripping hazard. Mount the Hand Scanner 5. Drill through the 4 designated points with your 3/16 in. drill bit. 6. Take the anchors and press them into each hole until the anchor’s lip is level with the wall. Reach PathSpot Support at support@pathspottech.
7. Place a screw through each of the wall-facing holes on the mounting bracket. Align the screws to the anchors on the wall. 8. Use your screwdriver to mount the bracket to the wall by tightening the screws into the anchors. 9. Tighten each screw so that the bracket is flush with the wall. 6 Reach PathSpot Support at support@pathspottech.
10. Slide your Hand Scanner onto the bracket through the slits on the rear of the device and hook it onto the two knobs on the bracket. Ensure that device is flush with the wall. 11. Gently push down on the Hand Scanner to lock it into place. 12. Tighten the bolts up into the bracket through the holes visible on the bottom of the device. 13. Position the Wash, Dry, Scan tiles above or next to the Hand Scanner to help communicate process to users. 14. Plug in the Hand Scanner to activate the screen. 15. The PathSpot application screen will appear automatically. Wait for the screen to launch. 8 Reach PathSpot Support at support@pathspottech.
You’re almost there! If the light turns on when you place your hands beneath the Hand Scanner, then you have successfully mounted your Hand Scanner. Follow instructions on the screen to complete install. Reach PathSpot Support at support@pathspottech.
