You can use normal, chrome, and metal tapes for recording.

Check that the tape's erasure prevention tabs (see page 57) are
intact, and then insert the cassette into deck 2.
The leader tape must be wound on beforehand. (See page 31 .)
_ Press OPEN to load a cassette
in deck 2.
_ Press CLOSE on deck 2 to
close the cassette holder.
_DY,R When making a recording

REVERSEMODE
Press REVERSE MODE to se-
lect the reverse mode you
want to use.
: One side will record, and then the
tape will stop automatically.
C:_O: Both sides will record (forward
#_-_ side/reverse side), and then the
tape will stop automatically.

" CCRT function.
You can record without using the CCRT
function.

The cassette deck will enter the recora-
ing standby state.
Press D on the CD changer to
start recording.
The recording will automatically start cor-
responding to the tape travel direction
indicator.

Press [] on the cassette deck.
After the compact disc play finishes:
When one disc is loaded:
The cassette deck will create a non-recorded passage of about
4 seconds, and then go into the recording standby state.
When two or three discs are loaded:
When there isa blank portion on the tape, the deck will automatically
start recording from the next compact disc.
When you want to cut an unnecessary track while
recording:
Before an unnecessary track play will start:
1. Press 0n.
The cassette deck will create a non-recorded passage of about
4 seconds, and then go into the recording standby state.
2. Press _,,_/nHH or n<</.<< to skip to the desired track.
3. Press D on the compact disc changer to resume recording.
To specify the tracks to be recorded:
1, Follow steps 1 to 7.
2, Specify the desired discs and tracks using the program play
procedure, (See page 22,)
3. Press REC PAUSE.
4. Press l> on the CD changer to start recording.
The recording will automatically start.
