Re: Compliance Statement in Car Manual
Dear Sir:
Our product PMV-1001 is a tire pressure monitoring system transmitter for cars. Since it will be already
installed in cars (as original equipment) when it will be placed into the U.S. market, we must hereby request
that the following statement per CFR 47, Part 15, Paragraph 15.19(a)(3) be placed in your car manual. This is a
requirement from the Federal Communications Commission in Washington, D.C.:
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two
conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any
interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
Additionally, per CFR 47, Part 15, Paragraph 15.21, the following caution must be added to the car
manufacturers manual:
CAUTION TO USER: Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible
for compliance could void the users authority to operate the equipment.
