Best to have a
professional install your
wall mounted faucet!
Wall faucets take a lile more
precision and forward thinking as the
rough-in needs to be done before
the dry walls, cabinets and sink are
installed. Your professional plumber
will know exactly what height to place
the rough-in, based on your cabinet
and nished sink height and locaon.
Install the sink just a lile too far in
any one direcon and when the faucet
is turned on, the water will hit the
curve of the sink at the wrong angle,
causing it to splash and spaer. Once
the cabinets and counter are installed
the plumber will then nish the spout
and handle.
How should I care for my Novatto Faucet?
For best results, not only for your faucet, but also your sink and drain,
we suggest rst cleaning and then applying Novao’s Glacier Ice Faucet
and Sink Sealer kit to your new install. This will help seal your item and
prevent mineral build-up and hard water spots. Remember to rinse and
dry o any excess sealer which may have landed on adjacent surfaces.
When you do clean, don’t use abrasive cleaners, nor cleaners with acids,
ammonia, bleach, waxes, alcohol or other solvents. *Just use a sponge
or so cloth with soap and warm water.
*The eecveness of all cleaners depends on factors like temperature, condion of
item being cleaned and water hardness.
How high up should
I position the faucet?
The distance depends on the
shape of the faucet. Typically
8-10-inches of clearance,
measuring from the countertop
to the faucet head. You want at
least 1-3-inches above the sink.
Remember, the higher the faucet
is placed the more dicult it is
to control where the water goes
when turned on, and the more
likely it is to splash.
How far out should my
faucet reach?
The placement of the faucet spout
is really a preference. Ideally
you’d like the water to ow into
the sink just before the drain or
towards the center, depending on
how the water cascades out. Just
remember, the spout not only has
to clear the gap between the sink
and wall, but it also must clear
roughly half the sink’s width. Plus,
be sure you have enough room to
wash your hands without touching
them against the sink’s basin.
