Journey into the super-telephoto world with this DX-format zoom lens.
If you want to explore the creative advantages of telephoto photography, this lightweight long lens is
the perfect way to go. With its streamlined, compact build, it’s the perfect partner for Nikons smaller
DX-format DSLRs. Enjoy the flexibility to nail beautiful shots of distant action, capture unique travel
shots, or shoot amateur wildlife images. Nikon’s Vibration Reduction keeps images sharp and the
lens focuses quickly and quietly, which makes it ideal for shooting video as well as stills.
Key features:
Lightweight super-telephoto zoom lens: covers the 70-300mm zoom range (35mm
equivalent: 105-450mm), with f/4.5-6.3 maximum aperture.
Smooth, fast autofocus: Nikon’s Stepping Motor: for fast, precise, and super-quiet
autofocus. Bring subjects into focus instantly and with absolute precision when capturing photos.
When shooting video footage, the motor allows you to smoothly shift focus with practically no
drive noise.
Nikon-quality images: one extra-low dispersion (ED) glass element helps minimise chromatic
aberration for high-resolution images with vivid colour, crisp detail and perfectly-rendered
contrast.
Vibration Reduction (VR): Nikon’s impressive Vibration Reduction enables clear, blur-free
images even when shooting at the far end of the telephoto range in low light. You can turn VR on
or off using the camera menu.
Simplified control: switch between Auto Focus and Manual Focus using the camera menu*.
With no switches on the lens barrel itself, there’s no chance of accidentally changing settings
when you want to take the shot.
*This lens is compatible with D3000 series cameras from the D3300 onwards, D5000 series cameras
from the D5200 onwards, and D7000 series cameras from the D7100 onwards. The D500 is also
compatible. Please note that compatible cameras may require a firmware update.
