Getting Started III. Key Definition Navi (up) In the menu mode: Scrolls up through the menu. Getting Started Installing/Removing SIM Card Your SIM(Subscriber Identity Module) is a “Smart Card” that holds your phone number, service details, and memory for Phone Book numbers and messages. Use your SIM in any GSM phone and you will be charged for the calls. Installing SIM Card : Power off the phone first.

Basic Functions Power On 1 Press 'END' button for a While. 2 If PIN is activated, please enter ‘PIN’ code. 3 If ‘Lock’ is activated, please enter password. Initial password is set to ‘0000’ * If security of SIM card is enabled, the phone requests the PIN code every time the phone is turned on. Power Off Press and hold 'END' button for a while.
Basic Functions About PIN/PUK PIN (Personal Identity Number) It’s a personal code(4 to 8digits) given in order to prevent other people from using your SIM card. It’s usually supplied with the SIM card. The PIN is usually requested each time the phone is switched on. If you enter an incorrect PIN three times in succession, the code is disabled and cannot be used until you re-enable it by entering the PUK.
Basic Functions PUK 2 It’s composed of 8 digits and it supplied with some SIM cards, is required to change a disabled PIN2. If you lose the coed, contact your service provider. If you enter an incorrect PUK2 ten times in succession, you will not be able to access the functions requiring the PIN2. Contact your service provider for a new card Change PIN or PIN2 code User can change the PIN or PIN2 code to any 4 to 8 digits number.
Basic Functions Making a Call Using Digit Keys Enter the number and press ‘SEND’ button Using Turbo Dial Press and hold a location to call on Wait Mode connects a call to the representative number of the appropriate location. If the location number is ‘2’, press and hold the dial [2] If the location number is ‘21’, press the dial [2] key and press and hold [1]. ※ It is possible to use Turbo dial numbers stored in SIM card. You can switch Turbo dial setting between phone entry and SIM entry.
Basic Functions Other Call Features [ Emergency Call ] Enter the emergency number, then press 'SEND' button This works regardless of security restrictions and without a SIM. * Please check the service provider for more information [ ‘Pause’ dialing ] All of the digits you’ve stored will be recalled, but your phone will only send the tones for the set of numbers before the first pause. When you call telebanking service and paging over a pager, etc., pause dialing can make it easier.
Basic Functions Receiving a Call When you receive a call, your phone rings or vibrates and displays an incoming call notice. Answer the phone after press “send” or “soft key (left)”. While set the “Any key Answer”, please press any key to answer the call. (Except ‘END’ button and soft key (right) ) ※ Your phone cannot receive calls when your SIM card is locked. ※ In case caller ID is supported, you can read it on the Display. * Refer to next page for in-call function.
Basic Functions In-call Menu Many of the menus that user can use during a call. Press [Menu] during a call to connect some of the in-call menu. Menu selection depends on the state of the call, the type and setting of user SIM card and subscription to these services. Phone book This option displays the phonebook and its menus. 1.Press [Menu], then move to “Phone Book” 2.Press [OK] 3.Scroll to the desired item and press [OK]. Now all phonebook functions are available.
Basic Functions Mute On/Off User can must any active call. Muting means that user can hear the other person but they can’t hear user voice. 1.While in a call, press [Menu], then scroll to ‘Mute’ 2.Press [OK]. “Mute” appears on screen. 3.To resume speaking, press ‘Mute Off’ Hold User can place a current call on hold and accept an incoming call, or start a second call. 1. While in a call, press [ANS] 2. Select “Hold & Ans”, then press [OK].
Basic Functions If supported by service provider, more people can take part in a call. 1.When call is incoming, press [SEND], then user phone answer mode. (If user select ‘Reject’ call is rejected.) 2. Press [Menu], then it has ‘Drop & Answer / Hold & Answer / Reject’ menus. Select ‘Hold & Answer’, then the screen both display ‘In call’ and ‘Held call’. 3. Press [Menu], then Select [Join] 4. User phone displays, active call indicator with the new active call.

Main Menu 1.2 Memory Status User can check the status of SIM card and phone book memory. If memory full appears, user cannot save any more numbers until you have deleted an item. 1 Press [Menu] 2 Scroll to [Phone Book], then press OK (or Press digit 1) 3 Scroll to [Memory status] then press OK (or press digit 2) 1.3 My Number Phone Numbers assigned to SIM card are saved in My Number if allowed by the card.

Main Menu 2 .Bell All items related with tone such as bell, melody, bell type, Volume Adjustment and alert tone are enabled and disabled in this section. 1. Ring tone Press [Menu] -> Select [Bell] then press [OK] -> 2. Adjust Vol. 3. Ringer type 4. Alert tone 2.1 Ring Tone User can change a ringer tone when a call is received. When ringer tone is scrolled, the ring tone is played. 1 Press [Menu] 2 Scroll to [Bell] then press OK (or Press digit 2) 3 Scroll to [Ring Tone] then press OK(or Press digit 1 ).
Main Menu 2.2 Adjust Volume It allows you to Bell, Keypad and Earpiece volume. 1 Press [Menu] 2 Scroll to [Bell] then press OK (or Press digit 2 ) 3 Scroll to [Adjust Vol] then press OK(or Press digit 2 ) 4 Press up/down navigation key to adjust , then press OK • Earpiece Volume : This feature is used to adjust the volume of voice tone heard through your ear during calls. • Bell Volume : This feature is used to adjust the volume of ringer tone sounded when a call is received.
Main Menu 2.3 Ringer Type Your phone rings or vibrates to notify you of an incoming call, message or other events. 1 Press [Menu] 2 Scroll to [Bell] then press OK (or Press digit 2 ) 3 Scroll to [Ringer Type] then press OK(or Press digit 3 ). 4 Scroll to Bell/Vibrator/ Vib.-> Ring/Vib+Bell , then press OK • Bell : Bell tone sounds. • Vibrator : Vibration operates. ( ‘Vibrator’ Icon appears on the display screen.) • Vib.→ Ring : Bell tone sounds after vibration.
Main Menu 2.4 Alert Tone It allows you to enable or disable the call connection tone , 1 minute alert and out of service tone. 1 Press [Menu] 2 Scroll to [Bell] then press OK (or Press digit 2 ) 3 Scroll to [Alert Tone] then press OK(or Press digit 4 ). 4 Scroll to Connection/Out of SVC/1min alert , then press OK 5 Scroll to Enable or Disable, then press OK. • Connection: An alert tone notifies the user when call is made.

Main Menu 3.1.1 Phone Lock 1 Press [Menu] 2 Scroll to ‘Setting’, then press OK (or press digit 3 ) 3 Scroll to ‘Security’, then press OK (or press digit 1) 4 Scroll to ‘Phone Lock’, then press OK (or Press digit 1 ) 5 Scroll to ‘Lock Now/Auto Lock, then press OK Lock now If phone lock is on, the message ‘Phone locked’ appears each time user turn the phone on. Auto Lock If the phone lock is set to automatic, user do not need to enter phone lock code until a different SIM card is inserted in the phone.

Main Menu Change PIN1/PIN 2 You can change your PIN or PIN2 code to 8-digit number. 1 Scroll to SIM PIN, then press OK (or Press digit 2 ) 2 Scroll to ‘Change PIN’ or ‘Change PIN2’, then press OK (or Press digit 2 / digit 3 ) 3 Enter current PIN /PIN2 code, then press OK 4 Enter new PIN /PIN2 code, then press OK 5 Enter new PIN/PIN2 code again, then press OK * If you make a mistake while entering the code, ‘Invalid code’ appears. If you enter the wrong code three times, the PIN code is blocked.
Main Menu 3.1.3 Master Reset It resets all of phone feature setting to factory default values. 1 Press [Menu] 2 Scroll to ‘Setting’, then press OK (or press digit 3 ) 3 Scroll to ‘Security’, then press OK (or press digit 1) 4 Scroll to ‘Master Reset’, then press OK (or Press digit 3 ) 5 Enter password then press OK •If you make a mistake while entering password, ‘Invalid code’ appears. User should try again to enter correct one.

(such phone book entries, call history list and others) 1 Press [Menu] 2 Scroll to ‘Setting’, then press OK (or press digit 3 ) 3 Scroll to ‘Security’, then press OK (or press digit 1) 4 Scroll to ‘Master Clear’, then press OK (or Press digit 4 ) 5 Enter password then press OK •If you make a mistake while entering password , ‘Invalid code’ appears. User should try again to enter correct one.
Main Menu 3.1.5 Change PWD (Change Password) It allows you to change your password 1 Press [Menu] 2 Scroll to ‘Setting’, then press OK (or press digit 3 ) 3 Scroll to ‘Security’, then press OK (or press digit 1) 4 Scroll to ‘Change PWD’, then press OK (or Press digit 5 ) 5 Enter password, then press OK 6 Enter new PWD, then press OK 7 Enter again, then press OK • If you make a mistake while entering password, ‘Invalid Password’ appears. You should try again to enter correct one.

Main Menu 3.4 Auto Redial Once this feature is turned ON, you don’t need to press SEND button when the network is busy. Your phone will automatically keep trying making a call 1 Press [Menu] 2 Scroll to ‘Setting, then press OK (or Press digit 3 ) 3 Scroll to ‘Auto Redial ’ , then press OK(or Press digit 4 ).

Then input the time.

If there is no entry, you can entered into edit mode directly. 1 Press ‘MENU’ 2 Scroll to ‘e-Diary’, then press ‘OK’ (or Press digit 4 ) 3 Scroll to ‘Anniversary’, then press ‘OK’ (or Press digit 3).

Main Menu 4.4 Calculator You can perform simple calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. 1 Press [Menu] 2 Scroll to [e-diary] then press OK (or Press digit 4 ) 3 Scroll to [Calculator] then press OK(or Press digit 4 ). - Enter digit - Select operator using [side button] - Enter digit - Press OK to execute calculation 4.5 World Time 1 Press [Menu] 2 Scroll to [e-diary] then press OK (or Press digit 4 ) 3 Scroll to [World time] then press OK(or Press digit 5 ).

Set Alarm On/Off On/Off : Press [Menu] then select On <-> Off * If Off is selected, below items can not be scrolled. Edit Time - AM/PM : Press side key then select AM/PM - Press navigation key, enter Hour and minute * To stop alarm from ringing, press any keypad button.

Screen Saver 6.1 LCD Contrast It allows you to adjust LCD contrast. 1 Press [Menu] 2 Scroll to ‘Display’, then press OK (or Press digit 6) 3 Scroll to ‘LCD Contrast ’ , then press OK(or Press digit 1 ). 4 Adjust LCD contrast using navigation key.
Main Menu 6.2 Backlight It sets LCD backlight time 1 Press [Menu] 2 Scroll to ‘Display’, then press OK (or Press digit 6 ) 3 Scroll to ‘Backlight ’ , then press OK(or Press digit 2 ). 4 Scroll to [For 5 sec/For 10 sec/For 20 sec/Always off]. 5 Press OK * For 5sec : Backlight is turned on for 5second after flip is opened. For 10sec : Backlight is turned on for 10second after flip is opened. For 20sec : Backlight is turned on for 20second after flip is opened.
Main Menu 7. Network You can set up the network related features such as Call forwarding, diverting and etc,. Press [Menu] -> Select [Network ] then press OK -> 1. Call divert 2. Call barring 3. Call waiting 4. Caller ID 5. Network setup 7.1 Call Divert With call divert user can direct user incoming calls to another number.
Main Menu 7.2 Call Barring This service allows user to restrict user calls. 1 Press [Menu] 2 Scroll to [Network] then press OK (or Press digit 7 ) 3 Scroll to [Call Barring] then press OK(or Press digit 2 ). 4 Scroll to All Outgoing/Int’l Call/Int’lExpHome/All Incoming/In.
Main Menu 7.3 Call Waiting It lets you receive an another incoming call when you’re already on the line. This is a network service. Contact your service provider for details. 1 Press [Menu] 2 Scroll to [Network] then press OK (or Press digit 7 ) 3 Scroll to [Call Waiting] then press OK(or Press digit 3 ). 4 Access to network to enable these features. Follow up network process. 7.4 Caller ID It sets caller identification option. This is a network service. Contact your service provider for details.
