2.1 Sounds
These most common sounds used in NOVO IP are:
• OK – “Blipp”
• Disconnecon – “Di-Du-Da”
• Error – “Blurp”
• Pre-call signal – “Melody”
3 Setting up the unit
1. Connect the network cable to the router/switch or equiva-
lent and the network cable to the IP connector (C1).
2. Connect the AC adaptor to the wall socket.
3. Connect the AC adaptor’s Micro USB connector to the DC
connector (C2).
4. Power on the unit by pressing PS1.
5. Test the Radio coverage by entering the Service Menu,
see 4.2.
6. Make a test call to the alarm central to ensure proper
operaon.
3.1 Mount SMILE ③
SMILE is a portable alarm trigger that can be worn either in
a necklace or with wristband. The supplied SMILE is already
connected to NOVO IP and ready to use.
Picture ③ demonstrates how to mount the necklace (A) or
wristband (B).
3.2 Send an alarm from NOVO IP
Press the Alarm buon (B1). A pre-call signal is played
whereaer NOVO IP starts dialling. During the pre-call signal
it is possible to cancel the alarm by pressing the Reset buon
(B2).
4 Control Mode and Service Menu
NOVO IP is normally in Idle Mode, i.e. is not processing any
user-iniated (e.g. user alarm) nor automac event/acon
(e.g. test alarm). Control Mode and Service Menu are ways of
easily conguring the unit.
4.1 Control Mode (CM) functions
Enter CM by shortly pressing buon PS1 when unit is in
Idle mode. When the unit is in CM all LEDs L4-6 are lit. The
unit returns automacally to Idle Mode aer aer funcon
execuon or 5 seconds of inacvity.

4.1.1 Toggle Alarm button (B1) illumination
Press and hold B1 for more than 3 seconds to toggle
B1 illuminaon.
4.1.2 Change volume
Press and hold B2 for more than 3 seconds to toggle conver-
saon level. Release B2 and press again (and hold) within 5
seconds to toggle signal level.
4.1.3 Enter Service Menu
Press B3 for more than 3 seconds to enter Service Menu.
4.2 Service Menu (SM) functions
Enter Service Menu by pressing the On/O buon (PS1)
shortly (thus entering Control Menu) and then buon B3 for
more than 3 seconds. In Service Menu LED4 is lit and LED6
blinks. When entering each funcon, NOVO IP plays the
funcon sound.
Enter the funcon by pressing B1, step to next by pressing
B3. Aer nishing programming in a selected funcon
NOVO IP automacally returns back to the SM. Step to next
funcon by pressing B3 or exit by pressing B2.
The list below assumes you have already stepped into SM
and have navigated to the requested funcon.

4.2.1 Add a transmitter
Add a transmier by pressing B3 to step to radio posion 1
indicated with one short “beep”, press B3 again to step to
posion 2, now indicated with two short “beeps”. Step to
desired posion by pressing B3 and when NOVO IP beeps the
number of mes corresponding to the desired radio posion.
Add the transmier by acvang it (e.g pressing the Alarm
buon on SMILE). A short beep conrms the addion and
also the transmier baery status.
• Short beep – acon OK and transmier baery OK
• Long beep – acon OK and transmier baery low
• Error sound – the transmier is already present at other
radio posion.
Exit funcon by pressing B2.
4.2.2 Radio coverage
In Radio coverage it’s possible to test the radio connecon
between a connected transmier and NOVO IP. When in
Radio coverage, acvate the connected transmier, (e.g
pressing the Alarm buon on SMILE) and NOVO IP responds
with a “blipp” if the radio coverage is OK. On SMILE the LED
blinks green to acknowledge radio coverage is OK.
End Radio coverage test by pressing B2.
4.2.3 Remove transmitter
Remove a transmier by pressing B3 to step to radio posion
1 indicated with one short “beep”, press B3 again to step to
posion 2, now indicated with two short “beeps”. Step to
desired posion by pressing B3 and when NOVO IP beeps the
number of mes corresponding to the desired radio posion.
To remove a transmier press B1 > 3 seconds at the desired
radio. A short beep conrms the removal.
Exit to SM by pressing B2.
4.2.4 Change Home/Away/Passive On/o
This funcon is further explained in
NOVO - Technical Handbook, NE41 15013-02.
Change status by pressing B1 > 3 seconds.
4.3 Error indications
If acouscal warning is acvated an error is indicated with
a blipp and/or voice message. It is repeated regularly unl
problem is solved or the B2 buon is pressed to silence the
warning sound. Errors are also indicated with the indicaon
LEDs L1 to L3 which will indicate according to below table
unl the problem is xed.

5 Important
5.1 Use and maintenance
• Temperature range: +5 - +55°C
• Do not damage the unit or its parts. If damaged, immidi-
ately contact authorized personnel.
• Do not expose to direct sunlight.
• Keep away from dust, moist and dirt.
• Do not drop, knock, twist or shake the device.
• Do not warm up the device or use it near re.
5.2 Cleaning
• All parts in the NOVO IP kit can be cleaned with a mild soap
soluon and a damp cloth. Dry with a dry cloth.
• Strong chemicals, grease and other harsh substances must
not be used when cleaning or handling the parts in the
NOVO IP kit.
• NOVO IP must be disconnected from the power socket
before cleaning.
• Aer cleaning, control that the home care phone works
properly by sending a test alarm to the alarm receiver/
central.
5.3 Safety Notes
• Read instrucons prior to use.
• Always test the system per instrucons prior to use.
• Always check the funcon of the product aer making
adjustments.
• This product may not be suitable for all persons and should
not be a substute for the roune visual monitoring
protocol by caregiver.
• Must not be used in situaons where a delay in the arrival
of appropriate medical care, could lead to a potenally
life-threatening situaon.
• Our units are NOT intended for any life support device,
thus intending a device whose malfuncon may result in
damage to a life.
• Check the device regularly and replace when necessary.
• Do not integrate with other systems other than those
specied in this document.
• Always keep the device dry. Exposure to excessive moist
can cause malfuncon.
• The product will not cause electromagnec disturbances
under normal working condions.
• The product can be placed near other products or devices
as long as mechanical vibraon is not present.
• Remove baeries if the unit is to be out of use or stored for
an extended period of me.
5.4 Disposal
At the end of the product’s use life, please dispose of it at
appropriate collecon points provided in your country. For
disposal or recycling informaon, please contact your local
authories or the Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA, www.
eiae.org). In the European Union, the bin label indicates
that this product should not be disposed of with household
waste. It should be deposited at an appropriate facility to en-
able recovery and recycling or returned to your distributor.

4.2.2 Cobertura Radio
En la cobertura de Radio es posible vericar la conexión de
radio entre un transmisor y NOVO IP. En modo cobertura
Radio, al acvar el transmisor conectado (ej. presionando
el botón de alarma de SMILE) y NOVO IP responderá con
un “blipp” si la cobertura de radio está OK. En SMILE el LED
parpadeará en verde si la señal de radio es OK.
Finalice el test de cobertura Radio presionando B2 más de
3 segundos.
4.2.3 Eliminar transmisor
Elimine un transmisor pulsado B3 para ir a la posición de
radio 1 indicada con un “beep”, presione B3 otra vez para
la posición 2, indicada con dos “beeps”. Vaya a la posición
deseada y elimine el transmisor presionando B1 más de 3 se-
gundos. Un beep conrmará el borrado. Tras la eliminación,
NOVO IP irá automácamente a Modo Servicio.
4.2.4 Función Home/Away, Activar/Desactivar
pasividad
Esta función está explicada en NOVO - Manual Técnico, NE41 15013-03.
Cambie el estatus presionando B1 > 3 segundos.
4.3 Indicaciones de Error
Si las advertencias acúscas están acvadas, un error se
indicará con un beep y/o un mensaje de voz. Se reperá con
regularidad hasta que se resuelva el problema o se presione
el botón B2 para silenciar el tono de advertencia. Los errores
también se indicarán con los LEDs de indicación L1 a L3, que
indicarán el error de acuerdo con la siguiente tabla, hasta
que se haya resuelto el problema.

5 Importante
5.1 Uso y mantenimiento
• No dañe la unidad o alguna de sus partes. Si resultase da-
ñada, contacte inmediatamente con personal autorizado.
• No exponga la unidad a luz solar directa.
• Manténgala alejada de polvo y humedad.
• No re, golpee, o agite la unidad.
• No sitúe la unidad cercana a fuentes de calor.
5.2 Limpieza
• Todos los componentes del kit NOVO IP se pueden limpiar
con solución jabonosa y un trapo limpio. Secar con trapo
seco.
• Productos químicos y otras sustancias abrasivas no deben
usarse para limpiar partes del kit NOVO IP.
• Desconecte NOVO IP del enchufe antes de su limpieza.
• Después de su limpieza, verique que el terminal de
• teleasistencia funciona correctamente enviando una
alarma de test al receptor/central.
5.3 Notas de Seguridad
• Lea las instrucciones antes de su uso.
• Verique el sistema siguiendo las instrucciones antes de
su uso.
• Verique el funcionamiento del producto tras realizar
ajustes.
• Este producto puede no ser adecuado para todas las
personas y no sustuye el protocolo runario de visitas
por parte del cuidador.
• No debe ser usado en situaciones en las que un retraso en
la llegada de atención médica adecuada pueda provocar
una situación potencialmente mortal.
• Nuestros disposivos NO están diseñados como soporte
vital, por lo que usarlos de ese modo pueden provocar
situaciones que pongan en peligro la vida.
• Verique la unidad regularmente y cámbiela en caso
necesario.
• No lo integre con otros sistemas que no estén especica-
dos en este documento.
• Mantenga el disposivo siempre seco. La exposición a
humedad excesiva puede provocar mal funcionamiento.
• El producto no provoca perturbaciones electromagnécas
en condiciones normales de funcionamiento.
• El producto se puede colocar cerca de otros disposivos
puesto que no presenta vibraciones.
• Rere la batería si la unidad está inacva o guardada por
largo periodo de empo.
5.4 Eliminación de residuos
Al nal de la vida de uso del producto, por favor, deposítelo
en un punto de recogida adecuado. Para recibir información
sobre eliminación o reciclaje, contacte con las autoridades
locales o con Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA, www.eiae.
org). En la Unión Europea, la equeta con la papelera indica
que el producto no debería ser eliminado con desechos
doméscos. Debería depositarse en unas instalaciones
adecuadas para el reciclaje o ser devuelto a NEAT.

2.1 Sonidos
Los sonidos que emite NOVO IP son:

3 Conguración de la unidad
1. Conecte el cable de red al router/switch o equivalente y al
conector IP (C1).
2. Conecte el adaptador AC al enchufe.
3. Conecte el conector micro USB del adaptador AC al
conector DC (C2).
4. Encienda la unidad presionando PS1 más de 0.5 segundos.
5. Compruebe la cobertura de Radio/GSM entrando en el
Menú Servicio, vea punto 4.2.
6. Realice una llamada de prueba a la central de atención para
comprobar el correcto funcionamiento.
3.1 Montaje de SMILE ③
SMILE es un pulsador de alarma portál, puede usarse en
modo colgante o pulsera. El SMILE ya está conectado a
NOVO IP y listo para el uso.
El dibujo ③ muestra cómo montar el colgante (A) o la
pulsera (B).
3.2 Enviar una alarma con NOVO IP
Presione el botón de alarma (B1). Escuchará una señal de
pre-llamada y NOVO IP comenzará a marcar. Durante la
pre-llamada es posible cancelar la alarma presionando el
botón Reset (B2).
4 Modo Control y Menú Servicio
NOVO IP está normalmente en Modo Inacvo, sin procesar
ningún evento/acción iniciada por el usuario (alarma de usua-
rio) ni automáco (alarma de test). Modo Control y Menú
Servicio son formas sencillas de congurar la unidad.
4.1 Funciones en Modo Control (MC)
Estando la unidad en modo inacvo, entre en MC presio-
nando PS1. Cuando la unidad está en MC los LEDs L4-6 están
encendidos. La unidad vuelve automácamente a modo
inacvo tras ejecutar la función o 5 segundos de inacvidad.

4.1.1 Variar iluminación Botón de Alarma (B1)
Mantenga pulsado el botón B1 más de 3 segundos para
alternar la iluminación B1.
4.1.2 Cambiar volumen
Mantenga pulsado el botón B2 más de 3 segundos para mo-
dicar el nivel de conversación. Suelte el botón y presiónelo
5 segundos para modicar el nivel de señal.
4.1.3 Entrar en Menú Servicio
Presione B3 más de 3 seg. para entrar en Menú Servicio.
4.2 Funciones Menú Servicio (MS)
Entre en Menú Servicio presionando el botón On/O (PS1)
(entrando así a Menú Control) y luego presione B3 más
de 3 seg. En Menú Servicio el LED4 está encendido y LED6
parpadea. Al entrar en cada función, NOVO emite su sonido
especíco.
Entre en la función presionando B1, salte a la siguiente
presionando B3. Después de nalizar la programación de
una función, NOVO automácamente vuelve a MS. Vaya a la
siguiente función presionando B3 o presione B2 para salir.
La lista inferior presupone que ya ha entrado en MS y ha
llegado a la función deseada.

4.2.1 Añadir transmisor
Para añadir un transmisor presione B3 para ir a la posición de
radio 1 indicado con un “beep”corto, presione B3 de nuevo
para ir a posición 2, indicados con dos “beeps”. Vaya a la
posición deseada presionando B3 y NOVO IP emirá tantos
beeps como el número que indica la posición que usted ha
elegido. Añada el transmisor, acvándolo (presionando el
botón de alarma en SMILE). Un beep corto conrma que fue
añadido y el estado de la batería.
• Beep corto – acción OK y batería transmisor OK
• Beep largo – acción OK y batería baja
• Tono de error– el transmisor está ya en otra posición de radio.
Salir de la función presionando B2.
