You won't have to complete all of the connections you see in this chapter -- make only those connections that apply to your equipment. You should keep in mind that there are two steps you need to take to connect your VCR: first, connect the antenna or cable to the VCR, then connect the VCR to the television.

This will not only allow you to record TV programs coming from the receiver, but it will allow you to control the receiver through the VCR. connectinga DSSor PRIMESTARRECEIVER To connect the satellite receiver, you should use a video cable and one stereo audio cable to preserve the maximum signal quality.
[:>Important: You will have to turn your VCR on to watch the video signal or to hear the audio signal from the satellite receiver.
