Using Your Telephone Overview DECT and GAP Your handset uses a digital radio connection in accordance with the Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications standard (DECT) in the Unlicensed Personal Communications Services (UPCS) frequency band (1,920 – 1,930 MHz) for the connection to the base station.
