SUBJECT: Type ‘X’ Dielectric Grease 49-08-5000 2 oz Tube
Using Type ‘X’ Dielectric Grease on the female electrical terminals of a Mag-Mate Terminated Field helps prevent
corrosion and increases reliability.
Current service replacement Fields
18-07-2200, 18-07-2205, 18-70-1130,
18-70-1135 and 18-74-1125 and the listed
affected Tools have ‘X’ Dielectric Grease in
the four [4] field Mag-Mate contact cavities
to help reduce arcing and to increase the
electrical reliability connection between
the female Mag-Mate Field terminal
cavities and the male brass terminals of
the motor housing.
When servicing a tool check for the
presence of ‘X’ Dielectric Grease in the
four [4] Mag-Mate terminal contact cavities
and add ‘X’ Grease if / as needed.
Caution! Do not overfill the cavity, excess grease can cause a build up of dust / dirt and result in a possible
‘shorting-out’ and a ‘burning at the connection.
When servicing a tool, if it requires the Field to be ‘washed’, ‘X’ Grease must be added to the field Mag-Mate
cavities to help prevent corrosion and maintain electrical reliability for the tool.
