Daily Care For Solid Wood Serving Tray
Our wood serving tray comes out with natural wood wax, a process that protects the wood from
stains.More wax oil,more beautiful look,more durable.
Daily Maintainance
1> To clean it, use a cloth or sponge dampened with a solution of water and natural soap or
gentle soap. Do not worry about cleaning it too often - frequent cleaning with a natural soap
solution will gradually build up a protective layer. Do not use scouring pad otherwise there will be
scratches on the wood.
2> Cleaning powder is available in DIY store. The cleaning powder can clean the oil stains. Use
extra fine sand paper (minimum 320 grit) to sand the stains. Finally, apply a thin layer of Osmo
Hardwax Oil. Make sure to sand in the direction of the wood grain.
Method For Preventing Stain Infiltration
1> Wax: make sure the surface is dry and clean. Apply the wax onto the wood in the direction of
the wood grain. Can also use vegetable oil or olive oil as replacement.Wait 15 minutes and repeat
the process. and then use extra fine sand paper from your local hardware store (minimum 320
grit). To maintain the protective layer, it is suggested to apply wax every 3 to 4 months. But we do
not recommend apply wax to furniture that are easily wet. If there is any spill on the furniture,
please remove it as soon as possible with with a dry, non-fluffy cloth. Use placemats to prevent
hot pots, pans and cold glasses or bottles from leaving marks on the furniture. Repeated
application this method will make your furniture more beautiful and durable.not suggest to serve
food straight from the tray ,put food in bowls/plates instead.
2> Water-based topcoat: is everlasting and can be applied to those furnitures which are easily
get staind by oil. The furniture may darken by varnishing. If there is any stain or scratch, use extra
fine sand paper (minimum 320 grit). Only the stained part shall be sanded and varnished again.
