Use one AC outlet exclusively for the computer. Having other appliances on the same line may cause interference.
Managing Power Battery The power source will automatically switch to battery when the external power source (AC adapter or optional vehicle adapter) is disconnected. Battery Low When the battery is nearly exhausted, the computer gives the following “Battery Low” warnings: z Windows battery low warning (when operating system is Windows) z The power LED flashes. Once the Battery Low warning occurs, please: z Save and close the files you are currently working on.
Managing Power Battery Charging Notice The followings are the detailed information for charging the Primary and Secondary batteries under AC and DC modes: AC mode: z When the Power Status is changed and AC mode is detected, the Primary battery will be charged. z Until the Primary Battery is finished charging, then it will continue to charge the Secondary Battery fully also. z When batteries are all full, the EC (embedded controller) will be turned off.
Managing Power Battery Power Saving Tips The computer comes with an intelligent power-saving feature. You may extend the battery life by: z Setup power saving functions in Operating System Power Management options (e.g. Windows Power Options). z Lower the intensity of the display by brightness control. z Use standby option when computer is temporarily not in use. z Shut down the computer when it will not be for a long-time use.
Managing Power Supporting ACPI Your notebook computer supports ACPI (Advanced Configuration and Power Interface) for power management. With ACPI and an ACPI-compliant operating system such as Windows, the feature will allow you to reduce the power consumption for energy saving. By supporting ACPI, the AC adapter LED and the Power indicator LED will show in different ways. The followings are the detailed description.
