Installation Instructions

Connection to the water
supply
This appliance must be connected to
a mains drinking water supply only.
The steam oven needs to be
connected to the mains water supply
and to the drainage system by a fully
qualified person in accordance with
national and local Water Authority
regulations.
This appliance is constructed in
accordance with German water
regulations (DVGW), and may be
connected to a suitable supply
without an extra non-return valve if
national regulations permit.
The appliance is designed to operate
with a flow pressure of between 1
and 6 bar. If necessary a pressure
reducing valve must be fitted.
The water connection must be fitted
so that the stopcock is easily
accessible (e.g. in a neighbouring
base unit).
The person installing the appliance
is responsible for ensuring its
correct operation.
If connected to a water softener or a
reverse osmosis system, please
ensure that the electrical
conductivity of the water is
maintained.
Water inlet connection hose
The appliance is supplied as standard
with a special 2.5 m long water
connection hose with a solenoid valve,
flow regulator and 3/4" threaded union.
The 2.5 m connection hose must not be
shortened or damaged, as it contains
electrical parts.
The hose may be lengthened up to a
maximum of 7.5 metres using hose
extensions. These are available as
optional accessories from the Miele
Spare Parts Department, and must not
be shortened or damaged.
Please note:
If the hose is lengthened, the hose
extension does not have a solenoid
valve.
