Get started ■ Keys and parts The headset contains the following parts: • Power key and indicator light (1) • Microphone (2) • Charger connector (3) • Answer/end key (4) • Changeable earloop (5) Before using the headset, you must charge the battery and pair the headset with a compatible phone. Note: Parts of the headset are magnetic. Metallic materials may be attracted to the headset.

When the back of the headset is facing you, detach the earloop from the left of the headset (see Place the headset on the ear on page 9). 2. Connect the charger to a wall outlet. 3. Connect the charger cable to the headset. The red indicator light is displayed during charging. If charging does not start, disconnect the charger, plug it in again, and retry. Charging the battery fully may take up to 2 hours. 4.

See the user guide of your phone for instructions. 3. Select the headset (Nokia BH-300) from the list of found devices. 4. Enter the Bluetooth passcode 0000 to pair and connect the headset to your phone. In some phones you may need to make the connection separately after pairing. To use the headset without placing the earloop over the ear, plug the earpiece into your ear. To use the headset with the earloop over the right ear, with the back of the headset facing you, detach the earloop from the right side of the headset (1) by lifting it.

If the automatic answer function is set on, the phone automatically answers the incoming call after one ring. To reject an incoming call, briefly press the answer/end key twice. To end a call, press the answer/end key, or use the phone keys. ■ Adjust the earphone volume To increase or decrease the earphone volume, use the volume keys on your phone.

After the settings are cleared, the headset beeps twice, and the red and green indicator lights alternate for several seconds.

The full performance of a new battery is achieved only after two or three complete charge and discharge cycles.
