9. POWER AMPLIFIER ADJUSTMENT Idling Current Alignment 1. Each of the measurement points are provided with the two test points. Set a digital Voltage meter to DC voltage input, connect the meter to the test points at both contact points. 2. After the setup above, turn on the main switch and heat up the amplifier about 10 minutes. 3. Adjust variable resistors (VR41, VR42…VR71) according to the digital voltmeter readings. The target setting value is 4.9 mV +/- 0.05 mV for each channels.
10. SERVICE MODE Microprocessor (IC28), DSP(IC20 )Version and FLD Segment Check Mode. 1. While the power is on, S-DIRECT, TAPE and SELECT buttons simultaneously more than 3 seconds. Press SELECT button, The software version of the microprocessor (IC28) is displayed in the format below.
Note : Step4, 5 is to check if CPU software is capable of DSP code. "Software Type No" is to show what "DSP Code Group" CPU is capable of. And vice versa. Step 8 is to manage the 16 codes for DSP. • When the unit is once turned into Service Mode, the unit keeps this mode until the main power is turned off. (Turning into stand-by mode does not make it quit from Service Mode.
11. SYSTEM ERROR 11. SYSTEM ERROR When the microcomputer detects a trouble, the following information is displayed on the FLD. • After the error contents indication, Surround Mode is initialized and returned Factory mode. • The contents of the ERROR indication are the followings. 1. Trouble in DSP.
12. UPDATE FIRMWARE Personal notes: Software for CPU and DSP can be updated. Have *SR7400CDR update disc. There are two mode of download, regarding to the target of software as bellow. Mode 1: Download DSP's software to 4M Flash-ROM. This mode is to update the software for DSP. The target devise is 4M Flash-ROM (IC20) on CUP11658 (DSP PCB). SR7400 need to be set download condition, by three front keys. Mode 2: Download CPU's software to internal Flash-ROM. This mode is to update the software for DSP.
3. Insert a thin rot to the hole and push the switch (SW10) inside to turn on the switch. Personal notes: HOLE 4. Turn on the power of the unit. (Confirm that the stand-by LED lights in green so the unit is in the boot mode.) 5. Launch "H8Download.exe" on PC. 6. Click other files... button in the dialog box to specify the file (XXXX.mot) to be upload. 7. Click Connect button.
