Windows 10 Laptop Setup :
•
Update the latest BIOS & drivers from vendor support site & Microsoft Windows
Update. ( Latest version is 1803 ). "
•
Plug in External Monitor to eGPU, it is also fine to be without an external Display. "
•
Switch to “ I “ to turn on the Mantiz eGPU first."
•
Plug in Thunderbolt 3 Cable to eGPU & hook up with Windows Laptop"
•
After linked, you will see the Intel Thunderbolt controller appeared and the device
listed under the Thunderbolt Tree as TBX-550CA . ( Need to approve it ) "
•
Download the driver from AMD/Nvidia Install the graphic card Driver or let Windows
update to do so. "
•
Native Windows 10 Laptop support Hot plug & play."
•
Native Windows 10 Laptop Internal Display acceleration is compatible."
•
If your Laptop is with the discrete GPU, Disable it first, then plug in eGPU. Then it will
flawlessly to have your internal display accelerated with Mantiz eGPU. "
Trouble shooting
•
My laptop is charged by Mantiz eGPU but I cannot see the
graphic card listed in the System report
1. Please check your external graphic card power source, it should be all plugged in with 12V
male connector ( 6Pins, 6+6 Pins, 6+8Pins , 8+8 Pins ) "
2. Please check the Graphic card had been well seated on the PCIe Slot. "
3. Make sure you are using Mantiz Thunderbolt 3 Cable connected to the MacBook ( Apple
charging cable is just an USB 3.1 Cable ) "
4. Reset your PSU:"
•
Turn off your Mac"
•
Unplug your Mantiz Thunderbolt 3 Cable from the Mac"
•
Turn off the Mantiz eGPU, Set the Power supply unit switch to “ O “ "
•
Unplug Power cord from the PSU for 3 min."
•
Plug in the power cord to PSU and turn on Mantiz eGPU PSU switch to “ I “ "
•
Connect to the Mac VIA Mantiz Thunderbolt 3 cable, Boot into the OS. "
•
When I am in some graphic loading status, my USB ( mouse/
Keyboard ) is laggy. System is lagged.
The root cause was from the EMI poor protection from Mouse or Keyboard. You have 2
options to solve the issue in most of the cases. "
•
Remove the mouse from the Mantiz eGPU USB port and direct connect to Mac. OR"
•
Update the firmware and reduce 500Mib/s bandwidth from Graphic card, it will make the
USB 3.1 Gen1 2.4Ghz not to be interfered by the EMI ( From the Mouse or Keyboards ),
check the USB FIX Update Firmware procedure HERE. "
•
I cannot see any Thunderbolt device in my thunderbolt
controller
•
Make sure you are using the stock Thunderbolt 3 cable to connect with your laptop."
