Installing or removing battery cartridge 001752 • Always switch off the tool before insertion or removal of the battery cartridge. • To remove the battery cartridge, pull out the set plate on the tool and grasp both sides of the cartridge while withdrawing it from the tool.
• When you charge a new battery cartridge or a battery cartridge which has not been used for a long period of time, it may not accept a full charge. This is a normal condition and does not indicate a problem. You can recharge the battery cartridge fully after discharging it completely and recharging a couple of times. • When you charge a battery cartridge from a justoperated tool or a battery cartridge which has been left in a location exposed to direct sunlight or heat for a long time, let it cool off.

Overload protector The overload protector automatically cuts out to break the circuit whenever heavy work is prolonged. Wait 20 - 30 seconds before resuming operation. 001760 1 3 1. 2. 3. 4. 2 Adjusting the fastening torque The fastening torque can be adjusted infinitely from approx. 5 kg·cm (0.4 ft·lbs) to 37 kg·cm (2.7 ft·lbs). To adjust it, loosen the two screws and turn the adjusting ring. Then tighten the screws to secure the adjusting ring.
Installing or removing bit • 001761 12mm(15/32") CAUTION: Always be sure that the tool is switched off and the battery cartridge is removed before installing or removing the bit. Use only the driver bit or socket bit shown in the figure. Do not use any other driver bit or socket bit. 9mm(3/8") 001762 1 To install the bit, pull the sleeve in the direction of the arrow and insert the bit into the sleeve as far as it will go. Then release the sleeve to secure the bit.
