Store LP ProStruct Roof Sheathing with SilverTech panels in a clean,
dry area. Do not store in direct contact with the ground. Protect from
moisture prior to and during installation. Outside storage, if neces-
sary, requires panels to be covered with plastic sheets or tarpaulins
with the sides loosely covered to provide adequate air ventilation.
Handle LP ProStruct Roof Sheathing with SilverTech panels as you
would other APA rated LP sheathing products. Be careful not to drop

• Placetheskid-resistantsideupandwearskid-resistantshoes
when installing the roof sheathing.
• Installwiththelongdimensionorstrengthaxisofthepanelacross
supports and with the panel continuous over two or more spans.
• Provide1/8”minimumspaceatpanelendsandedges.Useaspac-
ertool(i.e.10dboxnail)toassureaccurateandconsistentspacing.
• Panelendjointsshalloccuroverframing.Staggerendjointsin
each succeeding row.
• Provideadditionalpanelstiffnessbyinstallingpaneledgeclips
mid-span on all un-supported edges.
• Nail6”o.c.alongsupportedpanelendsandedgesand12”o.c.at
intermediatesupports.Fastenpanels3/8”frompaneledges.Use
8dcommonnails.
• Coverroofsheathingassoonaspossiblewithroofingfeltorshin-
gleunderlaymentforprotectionagainstexcessivemoistureprior
toroofing.Ifanyedgeswellingoccurspriortoroofunderlayment
installation,allraisedjointsshouldbesandedflat.
• Allowsheathingtoadjusttohumidityandmoistureconditions
before shingle installation.
• Removewrinklesandflattensurfaceofshingleunderlayment
before installing shingles. High performance shingle underlay-
ment is recommended for better results.
• Heavierweightand/ortexturedshinglesarerecommendedtobet-
termaskimperfectionsinroofingassembly.

barrier on roofs and walls to reduce solar gain. This product installs
likeconventionalroofsheathing,requiringnoadditionallabor.
