The FRS/GMRS is the newest generation in personal two-way

communications. The FRS/GMRS operates in a licensed radio band (FCC

license is needed for its operation), on any of the 22 licensed channels.

The FRS/GMRS is a lightweight, compact two-way communication device

that can be used to communicate with family or friends at parks, shopping

malls, sporting events, concerts - any indoor or outdoor activity!

The FRS/GMRS is compatible with other brands utilizing the same

frequency band (operating in the frequency range from 462.5625MHz

Care and Safety Care and Safety CAUTION Damaged ANTENNA Do not use any FRS/GMRS that has a damaged ANTENNA. If a damaged ANTENNA comes in contact with the skin, a minor burn may result. But when the FRS/GMRS is not being used, conserve battery power by rotating the ON/OFF/VOLUME CONTROL to OFF.

Operation Operation Changing the CTCSS SUB-CHANNELS CHANNEL SCAN The FRS/GMRS has 38 available CTCSS sub-channels. To change channels: 1. Press the MODE button once, the CTCSS sub-channel 0 will flash on the LCD Screen. 2. While the CTCSS sub-channel is flashing: Press the UP button to move to a higher sub-channel. Press the DOWN button to move to a lower sub-channel. The sub-channel changes from 0 to 38, or from 38 to 0. 3. Press the PTT button to confirm your selection and return to the NORMAL mode.
