MONITOR button - Press to tune in and hold onto weak signals.

UP / DN (DOWN) buttons - Used for changing channels,

codes, and setting the receive volume.

TALK (PUSH TO TALK) button - Used for making a call.

CALL button - Press to transmit a CALL Tones.

MIC - Microphone

BATTERY COMPARTMENT COVER LATCH (Located on the

Operation Operation VOX Selection CHANNEL SCAN The FRS is capable of voice activated (VOX) transmission. In VOX mode, the radio will transmit a signal only when it is activated by your voice or other sound around you. VOX operation is not recommended if you plan to use your radio in a noisy or windy environment. 1. Press the MODE button twice, the VX icon will flash on the LCD Screen. 2. Press the UP button to turn the VOX feature ON, or press the DN button to turn the VOX feature OFF. 3.
