Setting Up Your Device Installing the SIM Card* NOTE: If not already inserted, follow the instructions below to insert your 4G LTE SIM card. 1. To install the SIM card, locate and open the cover to the slot and gently pull out the SIM card tray. NOTE: There are two slots underneath the cover (the other slot is for a microSD card). 2. Insert the 4G LTE SIM card into the tray with the Verizon logo face up. Push the tray back into the slot until it “clicks” into place and close the cover.
Installing & Removing the microSD Card Your tablet supports a removable memory card (sold separately). 1. To install a microSD card, locate and open the cover to the slot. NOTE: There are two slots underneath the cover (the other slot is for a SIM card; note the tray). 2. Position the microSD card with the gold strips facing towards the back of the tablet. Slide the microSD card into the slot until it “clicks” into place and replace the cover. Removing your microSD Card 1. Remove the slot cover. 2.
Non-Removable Battery Your tablet has an internal, rechargeable battery that should be replaced only by LG or an authorized LG repair center. You should never try to open or take apart this tablet yourself. Opening the tablet can cause damage that will void your warranty. Charging your tablet 1. Connect the USB cable to the charging head. Powering Your Tablet On/Off It’s important to fully charge the battery before turning on your tablet. To turn your tablet on : • Press and hold the Power/Lock Key on the right side of the tablet until the screen turns on. To turn your tablet off : • Press and hold the Power/Lock Key on the right side of the tablet until the Tablet options menu appears. • Tap Power off > OK.
Setting Up Your Google Account Follow the onscreen instructions to quickly set up your tablet, email accounts, and sign in to social networking sites. Now your Gmail™, Google™ contacts, and Google calendar events can all be loaded to your device automatically. Record your Google account information. Please keep this document in a safe place. Bluetooth® 1. From the Home screen, tap Apps > Settings > Bluetooth. 2. Tap to turn Bluetooth on. You will see the option to make your tablet visible. 3. Your tablet will scan for and display nearby Bluetooth devices. If the device you want to pair with isn’t on the list, make sure the target device is set to be discoverable, then tap Search for devices to scan again.
Slide Aside Slide Aside allows you to quickly switch between three open apps (or tasks) for convenient multi-tasking. 1. While an application is open, place three fingers on the screen and slide to the left. The current screen is saved and the Home screen appears allowing you to open another app (you can save up to three apps). 2. To re-open the saved apps, place three fingers on the screen and slide to the right. Tap the desired app you want to open.
Using QPair With QPair stay connected when using your tablet, even when your smartphone is in another room. Get instant notifications when your smartphone receives an incoming call, messages, and social networking notifications. 1. From the Home screen, tap Apps > QPair > Get started > OK > Start on your tablet first then run the same steps on your smartphone. 2. Bluetooth connection will be turned on automatically. Tip: QPair may not be pre-installed on your smartphone.
QSlide Use the QSlide feature to overlay applications on your tablet’s display for easy multitasking. 1. Drag the Notification Panel at the top of your screen downward, then tap the desired app from the QSlide apps section. 2. Drag the title bar to move the app, or drag the bottom right corner to resize it. • Tap to return to full window view. • Slide to adjust transparency. • Tap to exit the QSlide function. NOTE: The QSlide feature can support up to two windows at the same time.
QuickMemo Use the QuickMemo feature to capture a screen shot and use it to write a memo. 1. While viewing the screen you want to capture, drag the Notification Panel at the top of your screen downward, then tap the QuickMemo feature. 2. Select the desired menu option and create a memo. 3. Touch in the tool bar to save the memo to the Notebook or Gallery app. • • • • • • • Tap to keep the memo on top and continue using other tablet features. Location Based Services This device can determine its location, which is useful for services such as navigation, shopping and weather. To use Location Based Services, from the Home screen, tap Apps > Settings > Location access. Your wireless device can determine its (and your) physical, geographical location (“Location Information”) and can associate Location Information with other data.
