INTRODUCTION REMOTE CONTROL KEY FUNCTIONS When using the remote control, aim it at the remote control sensor on the set. There maybe a defect in consecutive operation of remote control in a specified brightness according to this set. POWER switches the set on from standby or off to standby. INSTALLATION UNFOLDING THE BASE STAND (42PC1RR*) ■ This feature is not available for all models. A 3 INSTALLATION 1 2 4 B C ■ Place the set with the screen facing down on a cushion or soft cloth as shown in Figures 1. Before unfolding the stand, please make sure two locks (A) on the bottom of the stand push outward. ■ Pull the stand out as shown above in Figures 2 ~ 3. After unfolding the stand, please insert and tighten the screws in the holes (B) on the bottom of the stand.
INSTALLATION BASIC CONNECTION (42PC1RR *, 50PC1RR * ) ■ These models have two cable arrangement methods according to the stand type. Stand type 1 INSTALLATION Arrange the cables as shown picture. Stand type 2 1 Hold the C A B L E M A N A G E M E N T with both hands and push it as shown. CABLE MANAGEMENT 2 Connect the cables as necessary. BASIC CONNECTION (37LC2RR*, 42LC2RR*) 1 Connect the cables as necessary. After connecting the cables neatly, arrange the cables to the Cable Holder. 2 Install the C A B L E M A N A G E M E N T as shown. 3 Bundle the cables using the supplied twister holder. INSTALLATION To connect an additional equipment, see the CONNECTIONS & SETUP section. HOW TO REMOVE THE CABLE MANAGEMENT Hold the C A B L E M A N A G E M E N T with both hands and pull it upward.
INSTALLATION HOW TO JOIN THE SET ASSEMBLY TO THE WALL TO PROTECT THE SET TUMBLING ■ ■ INSTALLATION Set it up close to the wall so the set doesn’t fall over when it is pushed backwards. The instructions shown below is a safer way to set up the set, which is to fix it on the wall so the set doesn’t fall over when it is pulled in the forward direction. It will prevent the set from falling for-ward and hurting people. It will also prevent the set from damage caused by fall.
STAND INSTALLATION ■ ■ The set can be installed in various ways such as on a wall, or on a desktop etc. The set is designed to be mounted horizontally. GROUNDING Short-circuit Breaker INSTALLATION Power Supply Ensure that you connect the earth ground wire to prevent possible electric shock. If grounding methods are not possible, have a qualified electrician install a separate circuit breaker. Do not try to ground the unit by connecting it to telephone wires, lightening rods, or gas pipes.
CONNECTIONS & SETUP To prevent the equipment damage, never plug in any power cords until you have finished connecting all equipment. ■ This part of CONNECTION & SETUP mainly use pictures for the 42PC1RR*, 50PC1RR*. ■ ANTENNA CONNECTION For optimum picture quality, adjust antenna direction. ■ An antenna cable and converter are not supplied.
VCR SETUP To avoid picture noise (interference), leave an adequate distance between the VCR and TV. ■ Typically a frozen still picture from a VCR. If the 4:3 picture format is used; the fixed images on the sides of the screen may remain visible on the screen. ■ When connecting with an antenna Connect the A N T O U T of the VCR to the A N T E N N A I N socket on the set. 2 Connect the antenna cable to the A N T I N antenna socket of the VCR.
( S-VIDEO VIDEO ) AUDIO CONNECTIONS & SETUP AV IN 3 VCR SETUP ( When connecting with a Euro Scart TV Back S-VIDEO VIDEO 1 Connect the Euro scart socket of the VCR to the A V 1 Euro scart socket on the set. 2 Insert a video tape into the VCR and press PLAY on the VCR. (Refer to the VCR owner’s manual.) 3 Select A V 1 input source with using the I N P U T button on the remote control. - If connected to A V 2 Euro scart socket, select A V 2 input source.

CONNECTIONS & SETUP PC SETUP ■ This set provides Plug and Play capability, meaning that the PC adjusts automatically to the set's settings. When connecting with a D-sub 15 pin cable 1 Connect the RGB output of the PC to the R G B I N ( P C / D T V ) jack on the set. 2 Connect the audio outputs of the PC to the A U D I O ( R G B / D V I ) jack on the set. 3 Turn on the PC and the set. 4 Select R G B input source with using the I N P U T button on the remote control.

BASIC OPERATION TURNING THE SET ON If your set will be turned on, you will be able to use its features. INPUT POWER Turning the set on DVD TV VCR MODE CABLE 1 First, connect power cord correctly. SPECIAL FUNCTIONS DVR (Digital Video Recorder) TIMESHIFT DVD TV MODE CABLE AUDIO - This function allows the unit to automatically record live TV and make it available for reviewing at any time. - With Timeshift turned on, you may pause and rewind normal TV viewing at any time without missing any of the live broadcast.
SPECIAL FUNCTIONS DVR (Digital Video Recorder) PROGRESSING THE TIMESHIFT FUNCTION 1 1 2 3 4 The ‘Progress Bar’? After selecting the Timeshift On, press the O K button. This function indicates a possible DVR reshowing section ,a current on-screen and real on-broad- As soon as Timeshift starts, a progress bar indicating the current recording status is displayed in the bottom of the screen. ■ Press the E X I T button to hide the ‘Progress Bar’ or press the O K button to display the 'Progress Bar'.

SPECIAL FUNCTIONS PIP / POP / Twin Picture PIP (PICTURE-IN-PICTURE) FEATURE MARK PIP lets you view 2 different inputs (sources) on your set screen at the same time. One source will be large, and the other source will show a smaller inset image. It’s not available to use this function in TELETEXT mode. Twin Picture mode splits the screen into two images, allowing two picture sources to be shown on the set screen at the same time. Each source is given half the screen.

SPECIAL FUNCTIONS Teletext - Teletext (or TOP text) is an optional function, therefore only the set with the teletext system can receive the teletext broadcast. - Teletext is a free service broadcast by most TV stations which gives up-to-the-minute information on news, weather, television programmes, share prices and many other topics. - The teletext decoder of this set can support the SIMPLE, TOP and FASTEXT systems.
SIMPLE TEXT (OPTION) A Page selection 1 Enter the desired page number as a three digit number with the NUMBER buttons. If during selection you press a wrong number, you must complete the three digit number and then re-enter the correct page number. 2 The P R D / E button can be used to select the preceding or following page. TOP TEXT (OPTION) - The user guide displays four fields-red, green, yellow and blue at the bottom of the screen.

NICAM RECEPTION (OPTION) If the set is equipped with the receiver for NICAM reception, the high quality NICAM (Near Instantaneous Companding Audio Multiplex) digital sound can be received. Sound output can be selected according to the type of received broadcast as follows by pressing the I / I I button repeatedly. 1 When NICAM mono is received, you can select NICAM MONO or FM MONO. 2 When NICAM stereo is received, you can select NICAM STEREO or FM MONO.
