WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS:
• TO BE INSTALLED AND/OR USED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ELECTRICAL CODES AND REGULATIONS.
• IF YOU ARE NOT SURE ABOUT ANY PART OF THESE INSTRUCTIONS, CONSULT AN ELECTRICIAN.
• TO BE USED FOR INDOOR APPLICATIONS ONLY(10-30°C ENVIRONMENTS).
• DO NOT EXPOSE THIS DEVICE TO DIRECT SUNLIGHT. IT IS INTENDED FOR INDOOR USE ONLY, WITH OPERATIONAL LIGHTING REQUIREMENTS FROM 4 TO 100 FOOT CANDLES (1000 LUX)
DO NOT EXPOSE THIS DEVICE TO CONDITIONS IN EXCESS OF 100 FC
DESCRIPTION:
The Wireless Occupancy Sensor is a solar powered & battery-free wireless transmitter that communicates with a wide variety of receivers. Each time motion is detected, the transmitter sends a wireless
signal that commands the receiver to turn a device off or on. A switch can also be added to control the lights.
COMPATIBLE DEVICES:
• 3-WireRelay •5-WireRelay •Plug-inDimmer/Relay
• 4-ChannelLowVoltageReceiver •RoomController •Thermostat
• Morereceiversavailable •Wallboxreceiverswitch
EQUIPMENT NEEDED FOR INSTALLATION
• Slotted Screwdriver
• Phillips screwdriver
• Double Sided Foam Mounting Tape (Included - for “screwless” mounting)
• Wall Anchors and Screws (Anchors Not included - for “screw to” mounting)
• Ceiling Tile Stem, Nut, & Washer (Included - for “ceiling tile” mounting)
PROGRAMMING AND ACTIVATION:
1. Do not mount the sensor until after it has been programmed to communicate with all appropriate receivers.
2. Do not remove Test Cover until after it has been tested.
3. Make sure the sensor is within 16 feet (5 meters) of the desired receiver when programming.
3. Programming: To associate a sensor with a receiver, carefully remove the access door with a slotted screw driver,
then press the learn button on the Wireless Occupancy Sensor while the receiver is in the desired Program Mode (see receiver instructions for programming).
4. Activation:OnceanOccupancySensorhasbeenassociatedwithareceiver,itsloadwillturnoneachtimethesensorseldofviewisentered.
- In Auto on mode the sensor will turn the load on with initial motion and start the time delay. Time delay will reset every 60 seconds with occupancy.
-InManualonmodethesensorwillstartthetimedelayatrstoccupancydetection.Timedelaywillresetevery60secondswithoccupancy.
PLEASE NOTE: Do not attempt to activate loads while receivers are in Program Mode or other devices could be accidentally added or deleted from memory. Receivers have reduced range during
programming. Wireless Occupancy Sensor start up time is 2-4 minutes out of the box depending on light source (keep this in mind while considering mounting location). Wireless Occupancy Sensor Self
Powered light requirements are approximately 20 foot candles for 3 hours every 24 hours (keep this in mind while considering mounting location). If these requirements cannot be met, consider utilizing
battery backup feature or the two pin 24 vdc connection located underneath the sensor as the power source for your application.
INSTALLATION
Wireless Occupancy Sensors can be mounted using screws, adhesive foam, or ceiling tile mounted using the provided ceiling tile stem, nut, & washer.
SCREW TO SURFACE MOUNT:
1. Select location for mounting of sensor. If necessary, drill pilot holes into the mounting surface.
2. Use the included screws to mount the wireless Occupancy Sensor to the surface (wall anchors [not included] can be used with these screws).
3. Remove the back cover of the sensor. Hold the back cover and body of the sensor and rotate until the two arrows line up and pull apart.
4. Install back cover of the ceiling sensor to desired location using the included screws, nuts and washers, or screws in combination with commercially available wall anchors.
5. Secure the sensor body to the back cover by aligning the arrows. Lock it by turning the sensor such that the arrows do not line up.
6. Rotate the sensor to the desired orientation.
