If installing Dimmer in a single device application, proceed with the

INSTALLING YOUR DIMMER section. If installing Dimmer in a

multi-device application, proceed as follows:

Changing the color of your Dimmer:

Your device may include color options. To change color of the face

proceed as follows:

NOTE: For 3-Way applications, note that one of the screw terminals from

the old switch being removed will usually be a different color (Black) or

labeled Common. Tag that wire with electrical tape and identify as the

common (Line or Load) in both the dimmer wall box and remote wall box.

• Pull off pre-cut insulation from dimmer leads.

• Make sure that the ends of the wires from the wall box are straight

(cut if necessary).

• Remove insulation from each wire in the wall box as shown.

• For Single-Pole Application, go to Step 4a.

• For 3-Way Matching Remote (w/LEDs) Application, go to Step

4b.

Preparing and connecting wires:

Pull off pre-cut insulation from dimmer leads. Make sure that

the ends of the wires from the wall box are straight (cut if

necessary). Remove insulation from each wire in the wall box

as shown:

MAXIMUM BULB WATTAGE

0-10VDC ballasts are rated in Volt-Amps (VA). The maximum number of

ballast per dimmer is based on the load VA rating. The maximum bulb wattage

is determined by the efﬁciency of the ballast. Ballast efﬁciencies will vary from

different manufacturers; consider 80% efﬁcient as average. Use the chart to

determine maximum bulb wattage for typical ballast efﬁciency ratings.

Use with Leviton's OPP20 Power Pack to increase the switch rating to 20

Amps for 120 and 277VAC ballast.

device works using the Leviton Decora

Digital Dimmer & Timer app

that can be easily downloaded to smartphones or tablets and paired

to the Leviton Dimmer using Bluetooth

technology. Decora

Digital

Devices give users point-to-point local control to automate lighting,

bridging the gap between standard dimmers and whole-house

automation systems.

The Decora

Digital Dimmer is a powerful device – combining the best

of Leviton dimmer and timer functions with today’s mobile technology

for impressive results. The simple touch of a ﬁnger following the

intuitive on-screen guide makes it more convenient than ever to

manage lighting for home activities or to ensure a "lived-in" look

while away.

Use of the app allows greater ﬂexibility for accurate timer functionality

and makes pushing buttons for timed events a tedious chore of

the past.

The Leviton Decora

Digital Dimmer & Timer app can be easily

downloaded to mobile devices and is compatible with Android and iOS

smartphones or tablets. The app is easy to use with simple, intuitive

on-screen menu options to independently control dimmers and

switches throughout the home.

Digital Devices are ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens,

dining rooms, home ofﬁces, outdoor lighting or anywhere full control of

lighting is desired.

• The Decora

DD710 dimmer is not compatible with standard 3-way or 4-way switches. It must be used with a Decora

Digital remote for multi-location control, such as the DD00R-DL

WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS:

• Maximum wire length from dimmer to all installed remotes cannot exceed 300 ft.

• Dimmer may feel warm to the touch during normal operation.

• When retroﬁtting dimming ballasts into ﬁxtures that originally had Instant Start ballasts, the sockets MUST be replaced with Rapid Start sockets to allow proper dimmer operation and to

prevent damage to the dimming ballast. Refer to the instructions provided with the ballast.

• Recommended minimum wall box depth is 2-3/4".

• Use this device WITH COPPER OR COPPER CLAD WIRE ONLY.

Connect wires per WIRING DIAGRAM as follows:

• Green or bare copper wall box wire to GREEN dimmer lead.

• Line Hot wall box wire to BLACK dimmer lead.

• Load wall box wire to RED dimmer lead.

• Remaining RED Dimmer lead should have a label afﬁxed.

DO NOT REMOVE this label in a single pole application.

NOTE: If the insulating label is not afﬁxed to the second RED lead use

electrical tape or a wire connector to cover.

• Violet dimmer lead to (+) Violet connection on ballast.

• Gray dimmer lead to (-) Gray connection on ballast.

Proceed to Step 5.

Connect wires per WIRING DIAGRAM as follows:

• Remove insulating label and connect the ﬁrst traveler wire to the

RED dimmer lead.

• Connect the second traveler wire to the remaining RED dimmer

lead.

• VIOLET dimmer lead to (+) Violet connection on ballast.

• GRAY dimmer lead to (-) Gray connection on ballast.

Proceed to Step 5.

Étape 5 Vérification du gradateur avant son installation dans la boîte murale : PROGRAMMATION AVANCÉE • Insérer tous les fils dans la boîte, en prévoyant suffisamment d’espace pour le dispositif. • S’assurer que le mot « TOP » sur la bride du dispositif soit vers le haut. • Serrer partiellement les vis de montage dans les trous de la boîte. REMARQUE : donner aux fils le rayon de courbure indiqué dans le schéma afin de réduire les contraintes lors de l’insertion du dispositif lui-même.

Mode de programmation A FONCTIONNEMENT REMARQUE : le témoin de localisation s’allume quand la charge est hors tension (OFF) afin de faciliter le repérage du dispositif dans l’obscurité. REMARQUE : dans le cas d’installations à trois voies, les luminaires s’allumeront à l’intensité réglée au niveau de la barre du gradateur. L’éclairage peut cependant être commuté à partir de ce dernier, des unités asservies ou de l’application mobile.

Step 5 Testing your Fan Speed Control prior to mounting in wall box: • Position all wires to provide room in outlet wall box for device. • Ensure that the word “TOP” is facing up on device strap. • Partially screw in mounting screws in wall box mounting holes. NOTE: Dress wires with a bend as shown in diagram in order to relieve stress when mounting device.

Barre de réglage de la vitesse ACCÉLÉRATION : Appuyer sur la partie SUPÉRIEURE de la barre de réglage pour augmenter la vitesse du ventilateur. RALENTISSEMENT : Appuyer sur la partie INFÉRIEURE de la barre de réglage pour réduire la vitesse du ventilateur. Si on continue d’appuyer, les pales ralentiront à leur vitesse minimale, puis s’arrêteront. REMARQUE : quand le ventilateur ne tourne pas, on peut modifier la vitesse à laquelle il redémarrera au moyen de la barre de réglage.
