Charging the dock When using the dock for the first time and whenever battery power has been fully depleted, fully charge the battery for about 8 hours. Use only the power adapter that comes with your IdeaTab, as using a third-party power adapter may damage your dock. Connecting to the dock Step 1: Open the dock holder to about a 90ยบ angle, as shown below.
Step 2: Align the IdeaTab with two positioning docks and dock connector, as shown below. NOTE: Inserting into the dock improperly may cause stripping of the dock surface paint, or other damage. Step 3: Firmly insert the IdeaTab into the positioning docks, as shown below, until the release button clicks in place.
NOTE: When connected to the dock successfully, Docking Connected is displayed in the bottom right corner of the screen. When connected to the dock, the virtual keyboard on the touch screen is disabled, and only the dock keyboard can be used. Step 4: Make sure the IdeaTab is properly seated. Fn + : Toggle letters and numbers Fn + : Display symbols and special characters keyboard 1-2 IdeaTab Appearance Images are for reference purposes only, and may differ from your IdeaTab S2110A. 1-3 Buttons Power Button To turn on your IdeaTab, press and hold this button for about 4 seconds, then release it. If your IdeaTab is turned on, press this button to deactivate the display. If the display is deactivated, press this button to activate the display.

NOTE: When connecting to a computer with a USB cable, make sure that the battery power is sufficient for normal operation; otherwise, charge with the AC power adapter before USB connection. 1-5 Activating/Deactivating the Display Activating the Display With the display deactivated, press the Power button on the IdeaTab to activate the display. The IdeaTab's display will then illuminate, indicating that it has been activated.
Manual Lock If you do not need to use your IdeaTab temporarily, you can press the Power button for about 1 second to deactivate the display. Your IdeaTab will then be locked, and will enter standby mode. Screen Unlock When in standby mode, press the Power button on your IdeaTab to activate the display. Then, tap and hold the lock icon, and drag the slider over the unlock icon, as shown in the illustration below.
Screen Lock Pattern Setting You can set the screen lock pattern by tapping Pattern in Screen lock in Security under Settings. After this function has been enabled, you will be required to trace a personalized unlock pattern to unlock the screen before you can use your IdeaTab. 1-7 Navigation Tips Back : Return to the previous screen. Home : Return to the Home screen. Recent Apps : Display recently used apps.
1 - Back 2 - Home 3 - Recent Apps 4 - Advanced Menu 5 - App Menu 1-8 Home Screen This desktop enables you to quickly view and open your most frequently used applications. In the Home screen, you can add shortcuts and change your wallpaper. To add a shortcut to the Home screen, tap and hold the icon of the app in the applications list until it is added to the Home screen. To change your wallpaper, tap and press any blank area on the Home screen for about 2 seconds.
To delete something on the Home screen, tap and hold the selected item for about 2 seconds until appears on the top right corner of the icons, then tap 1-9 Switching Home Screens to remove it.
Your IdeaTab has multiple desktops. Move through screens by sliding your finger across the display. Icons can be moved from one desktop to another. 1-10 Status Bar System messages, if any, will be displayed on the bottom right corner of the display. Information about Wi-Fi connections and reception, power levels, charging status, and other notifications are displayed in the status bar. to open the setting details window Tap the status bar to display the notification panel.
1-12 Applications Management Tap on the Home screen to open the applications list. Tap Apps in DEVICE under Settings to manage all your apps. Uninstall Tap Apps to display the list of downloaded apps under the DOWNLOADED tab. Then choose the app, and tap Uninstall at the top to uninstall the app. Stop/Change Setting Tap RUNNING or ALL, then the app, and tap the option you want.

Chapter 02 Connecting to the Internet 2-1 Browser 2-1 Browser Network support is required to access the Internet with the web browser. If you have problems accessing your network, please consult your network operator or service provider directly. The web browser in your IdeaTab can access the Internet via a Wi-Fi or 3G network, for business and/or personal use. Tap Browser in the applications list to open the browser.
BOOKMARKS: Displays a list of all the web pages that you have added to BOOKMARKS. To add a bookmark, tap to add the current web page to BOOKMARKS. To edit a bookmark, tap and hold the bookmark to open a pop-up window. From the window, you can open, edit, copy, share or delete the selected website, create a shortcut for it, set it as your homepage, or perform other operations. HISTORY: Displays a list of all the web pages you have visited recently.

You can view photos by Albums, Locations, Times, People or Tags. Videos Recording Videos Tap recording. in the video interface to start recording, or tap Tap to set the camera properties.

(Airplane mode, VPN, Tethering & portable hotspot, Wi-Fi direct, Wifi direct settings and Mobile networks*).
Network notification: When activated, the system will notify you if there are any open net works available. Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep: You can set Wi-Fi connection policy during sleep mode to Always, Only when plugged in or Never. Avoid poor connections: When activated, poor Wi-Fi connections will be avoided. Wi-Fi frequency band: You can set the Wi-Fi frequency band. Bluetooth You can establish a wireless connection with any other Bluetooth compatible device using Bluetooth technology.
Tethering & portable hotspot: You can share your IdeaTab's mobile data connection through USB, Bluetooth, or act as a Portable Wi-Fi hotspot Configure Wi-Fi hotspot. Mobile networks*: This setting module includes Data enabled, Data roaming, Network Mode, System select, CDMA Subscription, Access Point Names, Use only 2G networks and Network operators. How to enable the 3G function: This section explains how to view or edit the Access Point Names (APN) for cellular data services on your IdeaTab.
Step 3: Select More... under WIRELESS & NETWORKS > Mobile networks. Step 4: Select the check box of Data enabled, and tap Access Point Names.

Settings include Volumes, RINGTONE & NOTIFICATIONS (Default notification, Vibrate and ring) and SYSTEM (Touch sounds, Screen lock sound and Vibrate on touch). Display Display settings include Brightness, Wallpaper, Auto-rotate screen, Sleep and Font size.
Auto-rotate screen: Allow or prevent the screen from automatically rotating. Sleep: This option allows you to select how long your IdeaTab's screen will remain activated without any operation before it is automatically locked to save power. You can set the time to 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes or 30 minutes. Font size: This option allows you to select the font size for text displayed on the screen. You can set the font size to Small, Normal, Large or Huge.
Apps With this option, you can easily manage and delete selected applications. You can also filter any running applications or applications provided by third-party software developers in the applications list. After selecting an application, you will then be able to see its details and related information. You will also be able to perform functions such as Force stop, Uninstall, Clear cache and Clear data.
Screen lock: You can unlock the display in one of four ways: Slide, Pattern, PIN and Password. You can deactivate the screen lock as well by selecting None as well. Tap Pattern, and use your finger on the screen (as illustrated) to draw an unlock pattern. Once you have set the unlock pattern, you will then be able to toggle Make pattern visible on/off. After you have set and activated the pattern unlock function, the unlock keypad will be displayed whenever the display is to be unlocked.
PASSWORDS: Under this option, you can decide whether or not your chosen password will be visible when you input it. If the check box is selected, then the password will be visible. If it is not selected, then your password will only be displayed as **** when you input it, thereby keeping your password more secure. DEVICE ADMINISTRATION: Set to administrate your IdeaTab and allow installation of non-market apps. Device administrators: These functions are not available to ordinary users.
KEYBOARD & INPUT METHODS: This option allows you to select and set the input method (including Default and Android keyboard). SPEECH: This option allows you to set the preferred engine and general settings for text-to-speech output. MOUSE/TRACKPAD: Under this option you can adjust pointer speed. Backup & reset This option allows you to reset your IdeaTab to the factory default settings. 4-4 SYSTEM Date & time These settings allow you to set a number of time-related options, such as system time.
APPS: Set app-related settings. About tablet Under this option, you can view System upgrade, Status, Legal information, Model number, Android version, Kernel version, Build number and Hardware version etc.
