Sky Crane Tablet Floor Stand
Quick Start Guide
Assembly Instructions:
Step 1 - Unfold the legs of the Stand
Unfold the 3 legs and place the Stand on the floor so it is upright and stable on the legs.
Step 2 - Raise and center the Arm
Loosen the largest thumbscrew on the arm, angle the arm to level & retighten. Loosen the small
thumbscrew on the Arm and slide the arm half way across to center it & retighten.
Step 3 - Attach the tablet holder to the arm
Place the Ball Joint on the end of the arm, slotted side up, then insert the Tablet Holder ball into the Ball
Joint cup. Angle the Tablet Holder so the extendable end (the part with ridges) is pointing upward, then
tighten the thumbscrew.
Step 5 - Secure your tablet in the holder
Lift lightly on the tab at the back of the Tablet Holder and pull up on the end to extend the grip until it is
wide enough for your tablet to fit in diagonally. Put one corner of your tablet in the lower grip. While holding
your tablet in place, pull lightly on the tab again and push the extendable grip down until it captures your
tablet. Test that the tablet is secure before letting go. This will become quick and easy after you do it a few
times.
Step 6 - Adjust the Ball Joint for best viewing
You can angle your tablet for easier viewing by adjusting the Ball Joint. Loosen the thumbscrew and move
the tablet to your preferred angle. Note that one place in the Ball Joint has a slot that allows more
movement. You may want to twist the ball joint so the slot is at the top, bottom or side, depending on your
use. When you have positioned the tablet to the ideal angle, tighten the thumbscrew.
Important: Always note the slot orientation and loosen the ball joint before moving the tablet. Applying
force to the ball joint body, instead of moving in the slot may crack the joint. But rotation from portrait to
landscape is not a concern.
Optional: Slide the arm to balance between tablet and counterweight for easier adjustment.
