Care and Maintenance
Thank you for purchasing a L’Baiet Rug!
After unfolding your rug the corners will be slightly curved due to packaging. We recommend
either laying out the rug on its reverse side for a few days or lay out your rug in its designated
space and place your furniture on each corner. Both of these options will ensure your rug will
be flush to the ground in a couple of days.
When vacuuming place the beater bar and brush at the highest setting as to avoid excess wear.
Regularly vacuum the rug on a low-power setting. Avoid vacuuming fringes/tassels this will help
prevent fraying or other destruction to these edges.
For stains, spot clean only with mild detergent and water. Allowing a spill to set will make the
stain more difficult to clean later, and rubbing can force the stain deeper into your rug's
surface. With a dry cotton towel or white paper towel, blot out stain as much as possible.
Scrape off any debris. Mix a very small amount of dish soap with a cup of cold water. With a
clean sponge and soap mix, gently remove the remainder of the stain. Avoid using excessive
water. Blot area with a dry towel. Allow the area to dry for 15 to 30 minutes. For stubborn
stains, it may be necessary to repeat the cleaning process, and/or softly brush the area during
application.
Shag rugs require some extra care. When first removed from its packaging, shag rugs may have
a flattened or matted appearance. Simply fluff the surface by hand in order to remedy this.
Due to the higher pile in comparison to other rug types, a high amount of shedding is normal
and expected. Prior to vacuuming, turn the rug face down and gently shake it out to dislodge
any dirt that may have gotten trapped deep within the fibers. Using a suction only attachment,
vacuum in between individual rows on your rug.
