2.3 Recycling Kramer Products The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive 2002/96/EC aims to reduce the amount of WEEE sent for disposal to landfill or incineration by requiring it to be collected and recycled. To comply with the WEEE Directive, Kramer Electronics has made arrangements with the European Advanced Recycling Network (EARN) and will cover any costs of treatment, recycling and recovery of waste Kramer Electronics branded equipment on arrival at the EARN facility.
3 Overview The Kramer 6810HDxl SDI/HD-SDI/3G Audio Embedder/De-embedder is a broadcast quality audio embedder and de-embedder (it embeds and de-embeds simultaneously) for serial digital video.

4 Connecting the 6810HDxl i Always switch off the power to each device before connecting it to your 6810HDxl. After connecting your 6810HDxl, connect its power and then switch on the power to each device. To connect the 6810HDxl , as illustrated in the example in Figure 2, do the following: 1. Connect an SD/HD/3G HD-SDI source (such as, an HD/SD digital video player) to the SDI IN BNC connector. 2. Connect the SDI OUT BNC connector to an SDI and AES/id3 acceptor (such as, video broadcast equipment). 3.

5 Operating the 6810HDxl To operate the 6810HDxl as an embedder: 1. Connect the audio sources to the AUDIO IN TO EMBEDDER connectors. 2. Choose the target group by pressing the EMBEDDER GROUP SELECT button. The display cycles through groups 1, 2, 3, 4, and – The “–“ indicates that no group is chosen and the given channels are not embedded. If no audio is connected to the AES inputs, the display shows “–“. 3.
