WAFFLES Cooking time: 7-10m Method Ingredients • • • • • • 300g flour 10g baking powder 75g sugar 100g butter 2 eggs 500ml milk 1. In a large bowl, mix the flour and the yeast together. Create a well in the centre and add the melted butter, eggs, sugar and a pinch of salt. Slowly add milk while stirring. 2. Allow the batter to rest for approximately 1 hour. 3. Add the waffle plate and cook the batter on the sandwich press until golden-brown and crispy.
DOUGHNUTS Cooking time: 7-10m Methods Ingredients • • • • • • • • 250g flour 100ml milk 1 egg 30g softened butter 30g sugar 1 sachet vanilla sugar 1 tsp baker's yeast 1 tsp salt 1. Combine flour, sugar, vanilla sugar, yeast, salt, butter and milk in a large bowl. Beat the egg and stir it in. 2. Knead the dough for 15mins and then leave to rise until it has approximately doubled in volume. 3. Flour a bench and lay the dough out onto it, rolling it to approximately 1cm thick.
GRILLED HAM AND CHEESE SANDWICH Cooking time: 7-10m Methods 1. Butter 2 slices of bread and top each with a slice of ham. 2. Spread half the cheese on top of each and place the remaining slices on top. 3. Pre-heat the sandwich press on medium heat. 4. Ingredients • • • • 4 slices of sandwich bread, crusts removed 6 tsp butter, softened 2 slices of deli ham 4 slices of cheese Butter the top and bottom of each sandwich and place them in the sandwich press.
TURKEY AND CHEESE PANINI Cooking time: 7-10m Methods 1. Stir the pesto into the mayonnaise and spread the mixture onto 4 bread slices. 2. Add turkey, cheese and tomato slices to each and top with the remaining slices of bread. 3. Pre-heat the sandwich press and cook the sandwiches on each side for 3 minutes or until crispy and golden-brown.
