OPERATION KENMORE LIMITED WARRANTY CONTROLS OFF Safety LO MED HI This hood is operated using (5) pushbuttons on the front of the hood canopy. The fan OFF pushbutton turns the fan off. The fan low, medium and high speed pushbuttons turn the fan on to three different speed settings. Warranty The light pushbutton turns the lights on and off. LIGHT BULBS Cleaning CAUTION ! Bulbs may be hot. Always allow bulbs to cool down before removing them.
PARTS INCLUDED WITH HOOD CLEANING Proper maintenance of the Range Hood will assure proper performance of the unit. 8 MOUNTING SCREWS (#8 x 3/8” Pan Head) MOTOR The motor is permanently lubricated and never needs oiling. If the motor bearings make excessive or unusual noise, replace the motor with the exact service motor. The impeller should also be replaced. 2 WASHERS GREASE FILTER The grease filter should be cleaned frequently. Use a warm dishwashing detergent solution.

INSTALL THE DUCTWORK WARNING To reduce the risk of fire, use only metal ductwork. 1. Decide where the ductwork will run between the hood and the outside. 2. A straight, short duct run will allow the hood to perform most efficiently. 3. Long duct runs, elbows and transitions will reduce the performance of the hood. Use as few of them as possible. Larger ducting may be required for best performance with longer duct runs. 4. Install a wall cap or roof cap.

If a framing member is not present, drill two 5⁄16” diameter holes where shown. Insert drywall anchors into the holes. 2. Center the bracket over the hood location and flush with the ceiling. Make sure that the slots of the upper flue bracket are at the bottom.
INSTALL CURVED GLASS PLATE 1. Place range hood body on its back, with controls facing up. Place cardboard under hood to protect countertop or table finish. 2. Position the curved plate glass over the range hood body as shown. 3. Install rubber bushings into all (4) holes of the glass. 4. Place a plastic decorative washer onto (4) M4 x 1-in. flathead mounting screw. 5. Align holes in glass with holes in the range hood body.

If a framing member is not present: With the hood hanging in place, drill through both holes located in the inside lower back of hood using a 5/16” drill bit. Insert the included drywall anchors into the drilled holes (one for each hole). 5.
INSTALL THE HOOD (VERTICALLY DUCTED HOODS ONLY) 1. DO NOT REMOVE the protective plastic film covering the decorative flues at this time. 2. Align the hood and center it above the hood mounting bracket. Gently lower the hood until it securely engages the bracket. LOWER FLUE MOUNTING BRACKET LOWER FLUE INSIDE BACK OF HOOD 7. Remove the upper flue from inside the lower flue. Install the lower flue bracket to the lower flue using (2) flue bracket screws (#8 x 3/8”).

Install the non-duct recirculation filter as shown. Turn mounting tabs on hood to secure filter. 18. Reinstall grease filter by aligning rear filter tabs with slots in the hood. Push in the metal latch tab, push filter into position and release.
INSTALL FLUE EXTENSION FOR 10-FT. CEILINGS Note: 10-ft. ceilings require the purchase of a flue extension, Kenmore part number 59920. 1. Discard the upper flue (supplied with the hood) and replace it with the longer flue section. 2. Follow all steps shown in the section “INSTALL THE HOOD” for horizontal, vertical and non-ducted installations. FUNCIONAMIENTO GARANTÍA LIMITADA DE KENMORE Seguridad CONTROLES APAGADO BAJO MEDIO ALTO Esta campana funciona con cinco (5) botones que se encuentran al frente de la cubierta de la campana. El botón OFF del ventilador apaga el ventilador. Los botones de velocidad baja, media y alta del ventilador lo activan en tres ajustes de velocidad diferentes. PIEZAS INCLUIDAS CON LA CAMPANA LIMPIEZA El mantenimiento correcto de la campana de la estufa asegurará el funcionamiento adecuado de la unidad. MOTOR El motor está permanentemente lubricado y nunca necesitará ponerle aceite. Si los cojinetes del motor están haciendo ruido excesivo o inusual, reemplace el motor con el motor de servicio exacto. También debe reemplazar el impulsor. FILTRO DE GRASA El filtro de grasa se debe limpiar con frecuencia, utilice una solución tibia de detergente y agua.

INSTALACIÓN DEL SISTEMA DE CONDUCTOS ADVERTENCIA Para reducir el riesgo de incendio, use solamente conductos metálicos. 1. Decida dónde instalará el conducto entre la campana y el exterior. 2. Un conducto recto y corto permitirá que la campana funcione más eficientemente. 3. Los tramos largos de conductos, codos y transiciones reducirán el desempeño de la campana. Use tan pocos de ellos como sea posible.

INSTALE LA PLACA DE VIDRIO CURVO 1. Coloque el cuerpo de la campana sobre la parte posterior, con los controles hacia arriba. Coloque un cartón debajo de la campana para proteger la cubierta o el acabado de la mesa. 2. Coloque la placa de vidrio curvo sobre el cuerpo de la campana, como se muestra. 3. Instale bujes de hule en los cuatro (4) orificios del vidrio. 4. Coloque una arandela decorativa de plástico en los cuatro (4) tornillos de montaje de cabeza plana M4 x 1 pulg. 5.

INSTALE LA CAMPANA (SOLO PARA CAMPANAS CON CONDUCTOS VERTICALES) 1. En este momento NO QUITE la película de plástico protector que cubre el tubo de humos decorativo. 2. Alinee la campana y céntrela arriba del soporte de montaje de la campana. Baje lentamente la campana hasta que se fije con seguridad en el soporte. INSTALE LA EXTENSIÓN DEL TUBO DE HUMOS PARA CIELOS RASOS DE 10 PIES (3 M) Nota: Los cielos rasos de 10 pies (3 m) requieren la compra de una extensión para el tubo de humos, número de pieza Kenmore 59920. 1. Deseche el tubo de humos superior (incluido con la campana) y reemplácelo con la sección de tubo de humos más larga. 2.
