MESSAGES
The Jethro 4G Simple Bar has a built-in message app which allows you
to send messages. Depending on the type of message you can attach
either pictures, sounds, voice recordings and even videos.
1. From the Home Screen, press the Left Navigation Key / Message
Shortcut Key, press Menu Key (Option), select New Message, then
press OK Key.
2. Use the Up or Down Navigation Keys to select the field: Type name
or number, then use the keypad to enter the contactʼs name or phone
number.
3.Use the Up or Down Navigation Keys to select the field: Type text
message, then use the keypad to enter the text messages.
4. Toattachefiles (Picture, Video orAudio), pressMenu Key (Option),select
Attach,press OK,then select the files you wantto attach.
The selected input method will appear on the top right corner of the
screen.
R9: Predictive Text - for example, word Phone key in as 74663.
123: Numbers only - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 0
abc: Letters - all small cases
Abc: Letters - First letter capital, then small cases
ABC: Letters - All capital
Press the Symbol Key to select Special Characters
Symbols: Special Characters - , . ? ! : : / < > Etc..
The Jethro 4G Simple Bar has several built-in input methods that allows
you to type the messages or enter contacts. You can use the Input
Switch Key (#) to change the input method while in a text field.
The Jethro 4G Simple Bar has the ability to save contact information in
its memory or the SIM Card. To do this, follow the next steps:
1. From the Home Screen, press the Speaker Key (Left Soft Key) to open
the Contacts.

2. Press the Menu Key (Options), select Create New Contact, then press
OK Key
3.Select where you want tosave thecontact, Phone Contact (Phone
memory) or USIM (SIM cardmemory),then press OK Key
4. Using the Navigation Key,scrolldown orup to enter informationto
other phone bookelds.
5.Usingthe Navigation Key, scroll down to the phonenumber eldand
enter the phone number.
6.Press the Menu Key (Save) to save the entry.
1. From the Home Screen, press the Menu Key, scroll to SOS, click OK.
2.Toenable SOS feature, make sure the SOS ison. You can use the OK
Key toturn it on and off.
3.Toenter the SOS contacts, scrolltoSOS Numbers, click OK. Select the
Contact 1 (to 5), click OK, then enter the phone number of the contact.
4. After entering the SOS number, press the Navigation Keys to select
OK on the screen,then click OK Key
5.InSOS Settings, scroll down to SOS Message (this is your emergency
text forthe contacts), click OK Key, enter the emergency text.The default
message is please help me!
6.After enteredthe emergency text, press the Navigation Keysto select
OK on the screen,then press OK Key
1. In an emergency, press and hold the emergency button on the back of
the phone for five (5) seconds.
2.The five (5) presetnumbers will be dialedautomatically in the order you
have saved them. The phone will gothrough the list of five (5)numbers a
maximum of three times.
3. The emergency contacts willreceive the call saying Emergency call,
please press zero to answer the call. Thecontact must press zero(0)
key within 15 seconds, or the call will be disconnected and move on to the
next caller. (This settingis to preventtheemergency call going through to
the contactʼs voice mailbox).
4.Atthe same time aseach emergency call, a presettext message (SMS)
with your GPS location (Google maplink)will be sent tothe emergency
contacts.

Specic Absorption Rate (SAR) information:
This 4G LTE Mobile Phone meets the government's requirements for
exposure to radio waves. The guidelines are based on standards that
were developed by independent scientic organizations through
periodic and thorough evaluation of scientic studies. The standards
include a substantial safety margin designed to assure the safety of
all persons regardless of age or health.
FCC RF Exposure Information and Statement: The SAR limit of
USA (FCC) is 1.6 W/kg averaged over one gram of tissue. Device
types: SC490 (FCC ID: 2AAWJSC490) has also been tested against this
SAR limit. The highest SAR value reported under this standard during
product certication for use at the ear is 0.956 W/kg and when
properly worn on the body is 1.318 W/kg. This device was tested for
typical body-worn operations with the back of the handset kept 1 cm
from the body. To maintain compliance with FCC RF exposure
requirements, use accessories that maintain a 1 cm separation
distance between the user's body and the back of the handset. The
use of belt clips, holsters and similar accessories should not contain
metallic components in its assembly. The use of accessories that do
not satisfy these requirements may not comply with FCC RF exposure
requirements, and should be avoided.
Body-worn Operation
This device was tested for typical body-worn operations. To comply
with RF exposure requirements, a minimum separation distance of 1
cm must be maintained between the userʼs body and the handset,
including the antenna. Third-party belt-clips, holsters, and similar
accessories used by this device should not contain any metallic
components. Body-worn accessories that do not meet these
requirements may not comply with RF exposure requirements and
should be avoided. Use only the supplied or an approved antenna.

The device has been evaluated to meet general RF exposure
requirement. The device can be used in portable exposure condition
without restriction.

Youcan add upto eight (8) contacts in Photo-Dial Application.
Photo-Dial allows you to see the picture of the already
saved contact, then simply press the green Call Key.
To assign contacts to Photo-Dial, follow these steps:
1. From the Home Screen, press Right Direction Key to open Photo-
Dial. Press Right Direction Key to select the entry
2.Press Menu Key (Option) to choose the contact from your saved
contacts then press OK to add

GLOSSARY:
Back / Clear Key: One-Click returns to the previous menu,keep clicking,
will bring you tothe HomeScreen.
Back Cover:Protects internals, access battery, SIM and Memorycard.
Battery: (Hardware) Gives powerto the device.
Call / SendKey: Answer/makephonecalls. Long press to access call history.
Camera:(Hardware) Location ofactual Camera.
ChargerPort: (Hardware) Location ofcharging/sync port.
Earpiece:(Hardware) Allows the other caller to be heard.
HeadsetJack: (Hardware) Allows to connect to a 3.5mm hands-freeheadset.
Keypad Lock: Long pressing to locked or unlocked the phone. Long pressing it
turns on the virtual mouse.
MainDisplay:Shows notications, features, messages and active functions.
Microphone:(Hardware) Transmits voice to the other party during a call.
Navigation Key: Canscroll through all the menus andapps ofthe device.
Numeric Keypad: Usedtoenter numbers, alphabetical text andshortcuts.
OK/ ExecuteKey: Used to select options, select apps and execute actions.
Power ON/Off/EndKey:Turns device ON/Off,endscalls, exits menus.
SD Card: (Hardware) Slot for a micro SD Card. 64GB maximum.
SIM card: (Hardware) Slot for a Mini Size (Regular size) SIM Card.
Soft Keys: allows when available to select certain applications or commands.
Speaker: (Hardware) Allows you to hear the emitted soundsfrom your device.
Volume Keys: (Hardware) Allowsto adjust the volume up and down.
The Jethro 4G Simple Bar has the ability to dial SOS calls and send
location text messages to the emergency contacts. To do this, follow
the next steps:
Read the instructions carefully and configure the emergency call function
according to your needs.
In order to send GPS location to the emergency contacts via text, you
need to first Switch the Location On in SOS Settings.
1. From the Home Screen, press the Menu Key, scroll to Camera, click
OK.
2.PressOK Keytocapture the picture.
3. To change the settingof thecamerasuch as White balance, Flash,
Picture size, Scene mode and ISOetc., Press Menu Key(Option)
4. Usethe Up or Down Navigation Keysto adjust the Exposure level.
5.Use the Left or RightNavigation Keys to adjust Digital zoom in or out.

SETUPALARMS
The Jethro 4G Simple Bar has Notification Bar on the top of the screen
at the Home Screen. It shows the pushed notifications such as system
update, incoming text messages, voice messages etc..
To view your notifications, from Home Screen, press the Up Navigation
/ Volume Key. You can then use the Navigation keys to select the
notifications preview or press OK Key to view details.
To Clear all notifications, while viewing notifications, press the Down
Navigation / Volume Key to select Clear All, the press OK Key
The Jethro 4G Simple Bar has the ability to setup Alarms
To View/Edit Alarms, from Home Screen, press the Down Navigation
/ Volume Key. You can then use the Navigation keys to select the
Alarm options, press OK Key to edit the current alarms
To Add/Delete Alarms, in Alarm feature, press Menu Key (Option) to
add a new alarm or delete an existing one, or change the setting of an
existing alarm, press OK Key to select.

1. With the phone facing down, insert ngernails into
the back cover cutout and gently but rmly lift and
remove the back cover.
2. Insert the removable battery making sure that
the three gold connectors are lined up to the
phoneʼs gold connectors.
3. Put the back cover back in place, press down along
all the edges of the phone, every time there is a
clicking sound,the back cover is being secured in
place.
4.Connect the cable tothe MicroUSB connector.
5.Connect the USB side (Larger connector) ofthe
cableto thewall charger USB port.
6.Connect the phonewall charger to the electric
outlet.
7.Charge your device for at least two hours.
STEP TWO-HOWTOCHARGEYOURJETHROPHONE
TIP: Althoughyour phonearrives pre-charged,a goodpractice dictates that
prior to the rst time of operation,let the battery charge for at least two full
hours.
WARNING!
Use only approved chargers. Incompatible chargers
could damage your phone and voidthe warranty.
Never leave the
phone charging for more than eight hours.
1. With the phone facing down, insert ngernails into the back
cover cutout, gently but rmly lift and remove the back cover. (See
step 2)
2. Remove the battery by inserting the ngernails at the top of the
Battery, lift the battery out.
3. Locate the slot forthe MiniSIM Card (AKA Regular Size SIM Card). To
insert, slide the SIM card from the top into the SIM card slot. (As per
picture below) Make Sure the SIM cardʼs gold contacts face down.
4. Toinsert or remove a Micro SD Memory Card,please repeat number
one and numbertwo of this list. (Micro SD card isnʼt included in the box)
5.Locate the slot for the micro SD card (Located at the bottom right side
of the phone,above the three battery gold connectors)
6.Using your ngernails,slide the metal lid to the right and lift it. This will
unlock theMicro SD Card tray. Place the Micro SD card in place and lock
the metal lid by sliding it to the left.
The Status Bar shows the phone vitals such
as, battery level, signal strength, time and
notications such as alarms, calendar
events and other open events.

To open Notications,from the homescreen
simply press UP Navigation Key.
Tomakea phonecall from the HomeScreen, simply input the number
and press the Call/Send Key to initiate the call.
To make a phone call from anywhere in the system, press the Red
End Key until the Home Screen is reached.
Input the number and press the Call/Send Keykey to initiate the call.
To make a phone call fromthe contact list. Scroll down the list using
the NavigationKey. Find the contact and press the Call/Send Key.
TheJethro 4G Simple Bar phone has the ability toautomatically create a
recent phone list of calls either accepted,missedor dialed.Thislist is
constantly been updatedby the new phonecalls, deleting the oldest
entries.
From the homemenu,press theCall/Send Key and use the Navigation
Key to scroll left or right to display the records by call type: Missed
Calls, Received Calls, DialedCalls, All Calls.
All calls displays the date, time and the phone number. If the phone
number is already added to the Phonebook (Contacts) it will include
different icons to indicate the type of number.
If there is the need to get more information from a specic recent
phone call, choose fromthe following options:
In Call History, press Menu Key or OK Key to view more Options:
Create new contact: Create a new contact for this caller.
Addto contacts: Save the callerʼs number as existing contact.
Send a message: Open the message menu for this caller.
Block number: Prevent this caller to call you again.
Call Details: Group all the call records of this caller.
Delete: Delete the phone record.
Clear call history: Delete all the call records.
Settings: More options such as Voicemail, etc...
If the phone begins to ring, the caller ID will tell you who is calling.
Simply Press the Green Call /Send Key to answer the call
ToEndorReject a phonecall, simply press the End key.

Unlock the Keypad: If your keypad is locked, press and holdthe Keypad
Lock Button for 3 seconds to unlock the keypad. To lockthe keypad again,
simply press the Keypad Lock button more than 3 seconds.
Switching between current phonecalls: If you are on a phone call and
you receive another phonecall, the Jethro Simple 4G Bar phone will beepto
inform you that you have another person calling you.The caller ID will
work duringthe call and let you know who is calling.
If you wantto put thecurrent call onholdand answer the new incoming
call, simply press the Call/Send Key.
If youwant to return to the rst phonecall, pressthe Call/Sendkey
again.
Block Mobile DataAccess: Completely block mobile data access. Go to
Settings, Scroll down, select Network and Internet, Click OK, select Data
usage, Click OK, then scroll down to Mobile Data, click OK to turn off the
Data access
Reset Phone (Erase all information) : Go to Settings, scroll down, select
System, scroll down, selectReset Options, scroll down, select Erase all data
(factory reset), clickOK,thefollow the prompt steps. Important: All
contacts and data in the phone will be lost if Reset is performed.
Soundoff: Silence the phonewhen needed.From the Home Screen do
the following:
Press andhold the # buttonfor three secondstoswitch between Normal
Mode and Silent Mode for vibration only.
Toswitchback to normal mode, simply press and hold the #key for three
seconds
