Service Mode 4. To Enter Service Mode: 1. 2. 3. With the machine in stand-by (plugged in with the main switch on, but the machine OFF), open the service door. Press the four corners of the display simultaneously until the Service Menu appears. Close the door and choose one of the options by pressing and holding the relative display area. Display Function Load Test Mode Tests all the functional parts by pressing the related display area.

Troubleshooting DISPLAYED MESSAGE POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION ADD PRE-GROUND COFFEE, PRE-GROUND MAXIMUM ONE MEASURING CUP The “Pre-ground coffee” function has been selected, but without placing any pre-ground coffee in the funnel. Place pre-ground coffee in the funnel and repeat delivery. The funnel for pre-ground coffee is clogged. Empty the funnel using the brush provided. A “Tall” coffee with pre-ground coffee has been requested.
FOR SERVICE TECHNICIAN’S USE ONLY DISPLAYED MESSAGE POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION SELECT A MILDER TASTE OR REDUCE PRE-GROUND COFFEE QUANTITY Too much coffee has been used. Select a milder taste by pressing or reduce the quantity of pre-ground coffee (maximum one measure). The grinding is too fine and the coffee is delivered too slowly or not at all. Repeat coffee delivery and turn the grinding adjustment dial one click clockwise towards number seven while the coffee mill is in operation.
DISPLAYED MESSAGE POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION TURN THE MILK FROTH ADJUSTMENT KNOB TO START CLEANING Milk has been delivered recently and the tube inside the milk container must be cleaned. Turn the froth adjustment dial to CLEAN. TURN THE MILK FROTH ADJUSTMENT KNOB TO MILK POSITION The milk container has been inserted with the froth adjustment dial in the CLEAN position. Turn the dial to the required froth position. Reminder that the appliance needs descaling and/or the filter must be replaced.
FOR SERVICE TECHNICIAN’S USE ONLY PROBLEMS POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION The coffee is not hot The cups have not been preheated. Enable the cup warmer from the user SETTINGS menu. Place the cups on the heatable coffee cup tray. OR Rinse the cups with hot water. The infuser has cooled down because over 3 minutes have elapsed since the last drink was made. Before making coffee, heat the infuser by selecting the Rinse function from the menu. The infuser gets hot during rinsing. A low temperature is set.
PROBLEMS POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION The milk does not come out from the milk spout The lid of the milk frother is dirty. Clean the lid of the milk frother. The milk tube has not or not correctly been inserted. Insert the milk tube in the milk frother lid. The appliance does not come on The power cord is not plugged in to the electrical outlet. Power to the appliance is disconnected. Plug in appliance or connect power. The main ON/OFF switch is not turned ON.
FOR SERVICE TECHNICIAN’S USE ONLY Component Testing Chart Unplug coffee system or disconnect power before performing the following checks: ■■ A potential cause of a control not functioning is corrosion on connections. ■■ Observe connections and check for continuity with an ohmmeter. ■■ All tests/checks should be made with a VOM or DVM having a sensitivity of 20,000 Ω per volt DC or greater.

Dépannage MESSAGE AFFICHÉ CAUSE POSSIBLE SOLUTION ADD PRE-GROUND COFFEE, PRE-GROUND MAXIMUM ONE MEASURING CUP (ajouter du café déjà moulu, la quantité maximum de café déjà moulu est d’une tasse) La fonction « Pre-ground coffee » (café déjà moulu) a été sélectionnée, mais sans que du café déjà moulu ait été placé dans l’entonnoir. Placer le café déjà moulu dans l’entonnoir et répéter l’opération. L’entonnoir pour café déjà moulu est obstrué. Vider l’entonnoir en utilisant la brosse incluse.

Sélectionner un goût moins intense en appuyant sur ou réduire la quantité de café déjà moulu (une mesure maximum). La mouture est trop fine et le café est versé trop lentement ou aucun café n’est versé.
MESSAGE AFFICHÉ CAUSE POSSIBLE SOLUTION PRESS OK TO START CLEANING PROCESS OR TURN MILK FROTH ADJUSTMENT KNOB (appuyer sur OK pour lancer le nettoyage ou tourner le bouton de réglage de moussage du lait) Le récipient à lait a été inséré, mais la commande de moussage est à la position CLEAN (nettoyage). Pour continuer avec la fonction de nettoyage, appuyer sur OK ou tourner le réglage de moussage sur l’une des positions pour le lait.
À L’USAGE DU TECHNICIEN DE MAINTENANCE SEULEMENT PROBLÈMES CAUSE POSSIBLE SOLUTION Le café n’est pas chaud La tasse n’a pas été préchauffée. Activer le chauffe-tasse à partir du menu SETTINGS (réglages) de l’utilisateur. Placer les tasses sur le plateau chauffant pour tasse à café. OU Rincer la tasse à l’eau chaude. L’infuseur a refroidi puisqu’il s’est passé plus de 3 minutes depuis la dernière préparation.
PROBLÈMES CAUSE POSSIBLE SOLUTION Le récipient à lait contient de grosses bulles et éclaboussures de lait par le bec ou faible production de mousse Le lait n’est pas suffisamment froid ou il ne s’agit pas de lait écrémé ou partiellement écrémé. Utiliser un lait écrémé ou partiellement écrémé à température du réfrigérateur 5 °C (41 °F). Si le résultat n’est toujours pas satisfaisant, essayer de changer de marque de lait. La commande de réglage de moussage n’est pas à la bonne position.
