INTRODUCTION Thank you for your purchase of the ISP Technologies High Definition Distributed System HDDS 2110 Surface Mount Speaker. This product provides a new level of performance in distributed audio systems allowing greater system flexibility and easy installation of distributed sound. All connections are made via CAT6 RJ45 connections making installation of systems faster and easier using the HDDS 2110.
OPERATION The HDDS Master Control Module is the Master control center for distributed sound systems using the HDDS technology. The Master Control Module includes six zones that can be used independently or can be linked to work together allowing the system designer the flexibility to set up any system with the desired configuration. The block diagram below shows the basic configuration of the HDDS 2110 Surface Mount Speaker.
Rear Panel The rear panel POWER LED will light when power is applied from the Master Control Module. The rear panel of the HDDS 2110 includes two RJ45 input connectors, both for connection to a Master Control Module. A single run of Category 6 cable can be used if the maximum length of CAT6 cable does not exceed 100 feet. Two Category 6 cables should be connected between the Master Control Module and Input A and Input B if the HDDS 2110 is more than 100 feet away from the Master Control Module.
SPEAKER POWER: The HDDS system distributes low voltage Alternating Current over the CAT6 cable plus high level balanced audio and is capable of greater than 220 watts continuous power per HDDS 2210 speaker. Each of the three outputs A, B and C are capable of delivering up to 7 amps of output current. The current consumption at full power will require over 4 Amps of power per speaker.
Mounting the HDDS 2110 Refer installation to a qualified installer to ensure proper mounting to overhead structures. The HDDS 2110 includes a TV mounting bracket for easy install. Follow the mounting instructions included in the separate bracket mounting instructions included with the HDDS 2110.
