To program a universal remote control: 1 Find the code for your universal remote control by identifying its model (or your set-top box’s remote control make and model) on the charts below, then making note of the numbered code below it. You will use the numbered code to program your remote control to work with your Insignia TV.

If your antenna cable has a 300 ohm twin-lead connector, use a 300-75 ohm adapter.

Back of TV/Blu-ray combo You will need an HDMI-to-DVI adapter to connect a DVI device.

The first time you turn on your TV/Blu-ray combo, the Auto Setup screen opens. The Auto Setup screen lets you set up basic settings including the menu language, TV signal source, and channel list.

If you forget your password, you can reset it. Turn the volume all the way down using the VOLUME– button on your TV/Blu-ray combo. While pressing VOLUME–, press 0 on the remote control for about two seconds. Enter a new password. To clear all parental control settings: 1 Press TV to select TV mode. 2 Press TV MENU.

The Parental Control screen opens. 5 Press then press to select Off. Parental Control must be set to Off before you can adjust the parental controls.

You can select 16:9 Wide or 16:9 Pillarbox. Note: For a wide-screen TV, select one of the 16:9 aspect ratios. If you select an aspect ratio that does not match your TV’s screen size, the resulting picture display may be unpredictable. For more information, see “Selecting the aspect ratio” on page 42.
