4. Use the up and down arrows to scroll through the menu until the System Settings

screen is displayed. Select OK.

5. Use the up and down arrows to scroll through the menu until the Set Delay/Instant

screen is displayed. Select OK.

6. Using the up and down arrows, scroll through the list of programmed devices. The

screen will indicate whether the device is currently set on delay or instant.

7. When the device to be changed is reached, select CHANGE. The CHANGE button

toggles between delay and instant.

8. After changing each device, select EXIT to go back to the main screen.

CLEAR SETTINGS

NOTE: This function will free the Base Unit to be completely reprogrammed.

This system has been designed to be portable. If the site location changes and users, sen-

sor descriptions and locations need to be changed, the system can clear the current set-

tings. All registered sensors and users will be deleted from the system. The master code

will NOT be deleted.

NOTE: If changing locations will result in the unit being disconnected from the wall outlet

for more than 8 hours, place the unit in the standby state. This will preserve battery life and

protect the Base Unit. See Turning System Off.

1. Start at the main screen.

2. Select MENU or press MAIN MENU on the keypad.

3. Using the keypad, enter the master code.

4. Use the up and down arrows to scroll through the menu until the System Settings menu

is displayed. Select OK.

5. Use the up and down arrows to scroll through the menu until the Clear Settings screen

is displayed. Select OK.

6. Enter the master code.

7. The system will request one final check before clearing the settings. All registered sen-

sors, sirens, Key Chain Remotes, and users will be deleted from the system. To sim-

ply change sensor descriptions, user names or user codes use the System Settings

menu instead. To confirm a clearing of the settings, select YES.

sure to contact the monitoring service to notify them of the changes.

AUTO ARM ON/OFF

The system can be set to arm at a particular time each day. This feature can be useful to

ensure the system can be properly armed if arming cannot be initiated by the master user

or other users of the system.

CAUTION: LOUD NOISE. Enabling the auto arm feature will cause a brief, loud noise

while arming that may startle any persons near the Base Unit.

1. Start at the main screen.

2. Select MENU or press MAIN MENU on the keypad.

3. Using the keypad, enter the master code.

4. Use the up and down arrows to scroll through the menu until the System Settings

screen is displayed. Select OK.

5. Use the up and down arrows to scroll through the menu until the Auto Arm ON/OFF

screen is displayed. Select OK.

6. When the Autoarm OFF screen appears, select CHANGE. The CHANGE button

toggles between off and on.

REVIEW ACCOUNT The user is able to view the account information directly from the Base Unit. CHOOSE LANGUAGE Choose from three different languages (English, Spanish and French) for the LCD screen. 1. Start at the main screen. 4. Use the up and down arrows to scroll through the menu until the Set Time/Date menu is displayed. Select OK. 5. Using the numbers on the keypad, set the clock to the appropriate time, changing hours first and then minutes. The character that is being changed will be underlined. To move back a character, use the down arrow. To move forward a character, use the up arrow.

3. Once the test is complete, the screen will display a message to verify if the test passed or failed. If the test passes, select BACK to choose another test. If the test fails, see Troubleshooting Guide for more detailed information. A. When the strobe screen is displayed, select TEST. B. Vibration: A. When the vibration screen is displayed, select TEST. Door/Window: Open and close the door or window to test. English Cable Lock: Open and close the lock to test. Container Sensor: Wait 60 seconds since the last container vibration, then create vibration on the container to test. Adjust sensitivity as necessary. Outdoor Motion: Wait 90 seconds since last motion was detected then walk through the areas where protection is expected.

If You Lose Your Master Code Battery Maintenance A user who forgets the master code can have it reset by calling DEWALT customer service for assistance. Please have the Base Unit near you when calling customer service. Do not attempt to access the battery in the Base Unit. Follow all instructions regarding the installation and disposal of device batteries. BASE UNIT BATTERY The Base Unit contains a lead-acid battery.

Troubleshooting Guide PROBLEM The LCD screen is blank while the Base Unit is plugged in. A different device number appears on the LCD screen. A device fails a walk test. A device fails to register when you press the reset button. The CELL LED is blinking. The cellular radio has been shut down. The POWER LED is blinking at two flashes per 10 seconds. All the LEDs on the Base Unit flash continuously and the system shuts down. SOLUTION The battery must be reset by an authorized DEWALT service center.

English Glossary of Terms A unique number that will reference the unit number. This number should be provided to customer service when making changes to monitoring. Strobe A device providing a light to notify user and intruder of an alarm. System The Base Unit, all devices and the monitoring service. AC power Alternating Current power from electrical outlet. Tamper An indication that the cover of a device has been removed or someone has altered the physical state of a device.

DÉTECTEUR DE MOUVEMENTS EXTÉRIEUR Prévention des fausses alertes La majorité des alertes sont fausses. Ces situations se répètent quotidiennement dues à l’erreur humaine, une installation incorrecte ou un manque d’entretien du système. Les fausses alertes limiteront le degré de réactivité du système, et deviendront une nuisance. Alors que le nombre de fausses alertes augmente, les autorités sont moins aptes à répondre aux systèmes d’alarme à cause de ce problème.
